Is there an easy way (or any way at all) to get the text generated through graffiti into, say, the browser, so I could compose emails in Garnet and then send the text via gmail?

Not any native Tablet apps (I may be proved wrong someday :p)... However, GMail offers a Palm version that should run in Garnet >> http://www.palminfocenter.com/news/8...lient-updated/

If anyone would like some great games by PDAMill that run really good with Garnet VM go here (recently released as freeware):
http://pdamill.com/prod_palm.shtml

Get the 480x320 versions. I found they all run fullscreen...some fullscreen portrait and some even in fullscreen landscape (some upside down but they work)! I had trouble initially running some of them but found once I configured them to run as device Tungsten T/X with display compatibility they ran fine.

The games are:
Arvale: Journey of Illusion
Snails
GameBox Asia
GameBox Classics
GameBox Solitaire
GameBox Solitare II

Thanks, YoDude. (And thanks again for the IDEN solution. I'm really loving the free mobile internet!)

Following the links through, I stumbled up on this.

JVM download for Palm OSŪ devices no longer available from Palm

As of January 12, 2008, Palm no longer has rights to distribute the IBM WebSphere Micro Environment Java Virtual Machine (JVM) to our customers. JVM allows users to install and run Java applications and games on Palm OSŪ devices.
It then suggests VersaMail for the palm. Do you advise pursuing this option?

Put Documents to Go on there (though nothing else, yet). The big disadvantage is not being able to save the files outside of the storage heap (at least from what I've seen so far). It was showing promise as being a potential alternative to being able to write txt or .doc files on this machine until the new Abiword comes along.

IMHO, graffiti within GVM ain't all that...

I spent more time correcting the letter "H" with the thing then it would have taken to form the letter on granite with a dang hammer and chisel. :D

I don't have any problem using the native email app with Gmail settings. Once you trust yourself with semi-blind typing you can get quite fast with the N800's on screen thumb board.

...so I wouldn't use GVM for email. :)

At this time GVM is a curiosity for me. It shows what a properly built JAVA VM could do... There are now 1,000's of specialized J2ME apps out there, many more than Palm apps I would think.

How do you config the apps (.prc) to fetch the data file (.pdb). I extracted the Classics. It came with 1 .prc and 2 .pdb. Upon running classics, it flagged an error "error opening Classics CD...pdb". I guess one has to provide a path for the .pdb files. Anyone knows how to do it?
TIA,

Edit: I figured out. You have to install them one by one and it will then run.

I simply installed the .pdb files when I installed the .prc files. Seems to work OK.

You should be able to install all at once during your hotsync.
