Made a few attempts at recording the podcast using Maemo Recorder. Quality's pretty bad... and it decided to use some weird special format to record it in, even though I specifically said "use WAV". Awesome.

Don't know if anyone would want to hear this, so I'll probably just redo it using another method.

Perhaps you can use Mer if sound is working.
We should make an episode about the next release of Mer 0.16, anyway. E.g. experimenting with the 0.16testing versions (I'll install one the next days - so you may ask me for a testreport xDD).

The Bad Apples podcast is recorded on the n800's built in mic, and it sounds fine. It's not twit, but I'd listen to it if it were through cans and string. It's the content that counts. Just ask klaatu how he does it.

I disagree that sound quality should come before content. Every podcast (every process for that matter) gets better as the creator learns to do it better. If you put great audio quality before content you get TWIT. If you put content before a professional setup, you get HPR, LottaLinuxLinks, TLLTS, and Bad Apples. Put out good content and improve your equipment as you see fit and you wind up with great shows like Ubuntu UK, Linux Outlaws and Craphound. I dunno about you guys, but I hate twit, and love the others.

Just put out what YOU have to say. As long as it doesn't actually hurt peoples ears (yes some do), we'll listen if you have something to say.

No, there's no real hangups. I've got my first guest lined up... it's just been a matter of having the quiet time to do this while I'm a full time dad. Don't worry, it's coming and it shouldn't sound too horrible either.

I wonder if it's possible to record through the mic of a bluetooth headset or the nokia headphones (if I remember correctly it had a mic on it?)

I haven't heard of this idea until now... But I think it's a great idea and wouldn't mind editing some of the podcasts if there is some "stars" :D available for recording...
