Re: Issues, dissatisfaction or pleased?
Hi all, first post would just like to say i have had no real problems with my N900. I have chosen to reboot/restart after each install with minor glitches, I am refraining from installing every app out there as i am a realist and just want to get used to the device and use it as a mobile computer. N900 is 100% better than the N97 at browsing which i struggled with for 4 months. It is glitchy/jerky at times but the browser is extremely useable and i know will be improved with firmware. being able to view full web pages is great.

Re: Issues, dissatisfaction or pleased?
I'm absolutely pleased with the device. I've been hardcore Nokia user for 12 years and this is definitely the best device ever used (but have used only week).
Of course, there are few glitches but hopefully they will be solved with software/firmware upgrades. What I have found by know: - A-GPS is very, very slow to locate and somehow was not very precise, but external GPS unit (LD-3W) works perfect with N900 - Sometimes it slows when starting application, but cannot recognize any pattern yet. - Mail for Exchange sometimes has a weird gaps and it is not yet clear why e-mail is not received on timely manner (I have set 5 minute timeframe for refresh as well as adjusted working hours). There is some missing functionality from regular Nokia phone which I'm surprised, but hopefully it will be added: - Only 3 profiles (General, Offline, Silent). Usually was more - Couldn't find a way how to define specific ringtone to contact or group as well as how to create groups - Callers log doesn't keep all the info. If you have missed call and return a call information about the missed call is gone. At least I couldn't find. I bet it is stored somewhere but software doesn't show - Nokia Suite doesn't support fully the phone and Ovi Suite doesn't support at all. - It is not possible to use Bluetooth connection to use N900 as modem for laptop (what I really loved to use with my E65) - It is not possible to define data limitations for other e-mail configurations. I have configured my GMail account which has lot of e-mails since 2006 and it has retrieved only part of it with old stuff up to 2007. As soon as I delete some old e-mails, I receive another set of 'new' e-mails from 2007. Seems like it has limitation how much data allocate, but it is not configurable. - you cannot define default calendar for new events if it is not the first one. - Couldn't find voice calling. From things I don't like: - it is not possible to dial number with one touch (and without looking at the device) :) - Shift is only on left side, so writing capital letters on left side is quite chalanging .. otherwise I love the device and there are way more great stuff included. Another thing - As soon as you add phone number, system adds the same number for sms sending. There is no way to delete sms number for landlines.
