FWIW, I can confirm the same behavior as Den. I'm in northern california, silicon valley. I think this changed after the whole 0.8.1 issue where it wouldn't connect at all...I'll be happy to confirm the change as well. And Thank You!

Are you a Last.fm subscriber? I think you shouldn't have had any problems with 0.8 if you were a subscriber.

The thing goes more or less like this:
  • There are two radio APIs in Last.fm: the old one (unsupported by Last.fm and subject to disappear at any time) and the new one.
  • Starting from v0.8, Vagalume uses the new one. If you're not a subscriber, it won't work. However, it appears that in some countries (including the USA) the old API does work even if you don't pay a subscription.
  • Vagalume 0.8.1 falls back to the old API in case the new one doesn't work, for non-subscribers in those lucky countries.

About the default radio station problem:
  • In both APIs, Last.fm provides two separate methods to choose a radio station and to obtain a playlist.
  • If you only press play, Vagalume will just request a new playlist. It will not choose any station for you.
  • That makes Last.fm send a playlist of the last chosen station.
  • The problem is that it doesn't seem to work for everyone. I don't know if it depends on the country, the API or what. But I remember having always used that feature, even with the old API.
  • So the solution would be to select a default station in that case.

Can that default be "My Library" and will you give us an update to test?

That's the idea.

This deserves a bug report, btw. Can you please file it? :) (I can do it later, it's just that I don't have time right now).

Alberto, I see that you have a fix for Fremantle, if you provide a link for a Diablo, I will test it.

After flashing my N800, when I try to reinstall, it says I am missing libhildondesktop0, libhildonfm2 and libhildonwm0. Where can I find these files for down loading?

Edited: Sorry, I reflashed an old OS 2008. Disregard this post.

I would love to have Vagalume to support key shortcuts for loving, next track and so on.

Also, a good adition would be an integration with eSpeak to tell the name of the song and band that is playin' (or will start to play).

What do you guys thinks?

EDIT: the shortcuts apply to n810 and n900, like pressing the > key to go to next track, L to love track and so on...

What flash version did you use?

There's Ctrl+L to love, Ctrl+B to ban, etc., take a look at the menus
