Not sure about the temps...

But I have been living in Finland, before moving to beautiful Lisbon recently, and they are having one of the coldest winters of time and I used my N900 all the time... Even calling my wife with gloves similar to yours (not very fun thing to do but... doable) while scratching the damn ice out of the windshield.

My itouch at some point stopped worked INSIDE of my car... took from my jacket pocket, connected to car sound system and... dead.

So I am telling you man... It works great, might not be that fun to use but at least it has a stylus...

But if you can answer me something is, why do you stay here dude? You seem not to like Nokia and its products, which is fine, but why ruining for other people? I dont like Apple products but I dont waste my time at their forums bashing that horrible piece of software that iTunes is...

Sometimes you even have valid points but with all of this weird posts you discredit yourself... Dont take it personally I am not trying to insult you or anything so dont throw rocks at me :P

3D UIs are a _disincentive_ to me. I don't have stereoscopic vision, and things that try to force stereoscopic images (3d movies, those pictures that are a bunch of random dots, etc.) all give me headaches if I try to use them.

Any "3D interface" (actual, not just things that have a 3D look) has to be something I can turn off, or I wont buy it. 3D TV's? Not interested. 3D computer displays? Not interested. Actively, decisively, not interested.

This is all good until you want to play music and use another app at the same time.

Try multitasking on the iPhone at any temperature!

I'm not sure why people are suddenly getting all nationalistic either way. :P And as a person that lives in Massachusetts (home state of Dunkin Donuts, homed in Randolph, MA) and visited friends in Vancouver, BC, I have to admit that I preferred the Tim Horton's over Dunkin Donuts. Sorry, but they WERE just more consistently better. :) Still, I'm not sure how ANY of that thread is relevant.

It's TRUE! I've seen it! ;)

Well, technology required is not anything new, here is example:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jd3-eiid-Uw

However using camera to detect user-screen relative position is a bit harder, tho not impossible. And it is surely not a hardware dependent.

On a sidenote tracking eye movement is useless as the angle your eye moves is too low to make a difference, you just need to detect a relative head position to a screen.

Also I don't see much use for that technology in a tablet.

Sounds more like it provides parallax, not "3D." That said, parallax adds a huge amount of depth to a 2D image (check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jd3-eiid-Uw by Johnny Chung Lee, freaking awesome) and if Apple can do it, I'm sure it could be done on the N900.

What -value- that would provide is wholly debatable, however. Be an awesome project, too bad my opengl skills suck :(

I'd be more impressed if it even tracked both the eye movement as well as how far you're focusing. Hmm.. is there a way to detect how someone's eyes are focusing?

Addendum: 15x15% = 225%, I would MAKE money? I wonder at what point you'd break even on your initial purchase..

HAHAHA :D

MADE MY DAY!!! XD

(hopefully this is a joke and i didn't get the irony of this mathematical desaster-calculation ^^)
