Re: Gaim 2.0!

Hi, all!

I have released a new version, which incorporates many of the things mentioned in this thread:

- Fullscreen-able conversation and buddy list

- Removed system tray stuff - set immutably to "never"

- Do not try to play a sound while another sound is playing - causes gaim to hang every time. The added stability should be worth a few missed sounds.

I really hope this is the major source of hangage in gaim and not something more obscure.

- Close button on debug window, as well as tap-and-hold-accessible rigt-click menu to get rid of toolbar button text (which takes up a lot of room)

- Added new browser choice: "OSSO" will launch the OSSO browser displaying either a new page, or replacing the contents of the existing page - thanks, Tabster!

Here's hoping it makes a difference ...

Re: Gaim 2.0! VERSION# PLEASE

I just installed this yesterday. I have version 2.0.0beta6.

What is the latest version?

Can I just install the new released version over this version or do I need to do an uninstall of the version 2.0.0beta6 first?

Thanks!

Re: Gaim 2.0! Documentation link error

I noticed in the version I have when I attempt to access the online help the ERROR MESSAGE "unable to open URL .. The browser command "mozilla 'http://gaim.sourceforge.net/documentation.php'" is invalid.

Thanks for the new version.

I think the sound thing was the problem. I will try to test.

For the 'open browser' string. I was just repeating something I found in the forum. I got it from cicamargoba's posts in this thread: http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...ight=dbus-send

- so thanks to cicamargoba :)

and thanks to the Gaim devs :D

Cool! Thanks for the heads-up. I'll check it out.

Interesting. Works for me. Did you try it with 0nix19 ?

rulerraven:

In a terminal, as root, type

gtk-update-icon-cache -f /usr/share/icons/hicolor

If this does not fix it, it means that the Gaim icon is not present anywhere under /usr/share/icons/hicolor
