Re: Make n900 smooth, is there even more ?

I overclocked min-max to 1.15Ghz and watch Youtube in 360p and it's very smooth for some videos. But it gets hot after awhile so have to watch out for that. But i can watch it w/ min-max 500Mhz-1.15Ghz. As far as surfing the web without flash...it is super smooth...and it wouldn't get hot. I normally just use overclocked from 500Mhz to 1.15Ghz and everything is fine. Never have to restart or anything. You just have to test out which profile fit your device. If this device have hardware acceleration....it'll be smooth in watching flash video....but then it'll probably get too hot. I think that's why they don't recommend going over 240p youtube format, maybe cuz it gets hot. I don't know...watching flash video is using too much resource even for PC!! That's why i guess Steve Jobs dont' want it for iphone.

Please do!
I even did step 5 http://n900-tune-up.sourceforge.net/ and it worked well.

A few questions: for transitions control, you suggested, everything 10 and then blank 15, and rotation 40%.
So place everything: blur, task zoom, task rearrange, app open, launcher in, etc as 10?
And blank min, blank max as 15?
Rotate % i placed as 40%, but should i place rotate in, and out as 40?

I should do that step 5 also. Well only rotate% 40, rotate in and out 10. Blank min,max 15, everything else 10. Ofc you can play around and check if it makes any difference, those values are only my suggestion.

That vid is awesome! My n900 runs as smooth, although i do not have mine device Overclocked.
Im trying to find ways to save on battery life. Usually with moderate use, i get through a day and then some, but with heavy use...well you know. Got any tips besides the usual, lower screen dimness, wifi off, 2g on, email set to check on manual, etc?

Thats the problem we have, poor battery. Im currently looking for extra battery... I want raw working power and therefore dont care very much about battery life. What comes to my mind, lovering voltages and underclocking could save some battery. I bought this one but it didnt work... http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.44944
