Re: Lehto's kernels, Gone?

*Shrug* If you're sure it makes you happy, by all means. Though do keep in mind, while you CAN run the older kernels with PR1.3, it's not necessarily a great idea: PR1.2 brought in an entirely new version of the kernel, if I recall correctly, and PR1.3 made some changes to it too. So you may find that stuff that depends on certain aspects of the kernel just doesn't work with Lehto's. But hey, you obviously have made your decision. Recommendations have been given otherwise, and if you ever decide you want to switch, reflashing is pretty easy. No point in non-stop nagging you otherwise. Also, regardless of whether you're male or female, always nice to see a new N900 user: Welcome to the forums. |

I still don't understand why you want it over kernel-power but here is it:

Re: Lehto's kernels, Gone?
And the result is... ??
a)Semi-stable N900 only capable of taking photos and videos with default cam app (not nice pics, neither panorama et al), no USB Host, no Wireless sharing (maybe Joiku?), but running the so wanted custom kernel at 1000Mhz from Lehto, and maybe getting 1 or 2 hours of extra battery time per day... b)Unstable N900 only capable of taking photos and no videos with default cam app (not nice picks, neither panorama et al), no USB Host, no Wireless sharing, but running Lehto's kernel @1000Mhz c) Black toasted brick and some dark smoke... :p |
