I guess this should discredit me? :D
Sure, I can link it, but what is the point?
The machine should determine if I am a good boy?

I suspect meritocracy follows after this?

Slow down a little bit, I am not your enemy.

It doesn't work both ways round; but if you want to vote, you'll want to link sooner rather than later to ensure karma calculations are up-to-date.

Sorry, I didn't mean to suggest I thought you were. I just think I'm drawing the line on active/passive slightly more differently to you. Actually, I'm probably not. I'm trying to say that even "passive" community members who "actively" use maemo.org (e.g. consuming software) still need considering/supporting.

For example, if there are no/fewer "users", the number of developers (or, perhaps, updates from developers sharing their software) will also decrease.

And if it isn't, let's make it. Setting up something like munin or even good old sysstat on the builder box(en) shouldn't take too long.

Admit it, you just want to avoid renaming mwkn! ;-)

(More seriously, +1 on Meltemi assuming it doesn't clash with anyone else's trademarks)

I've just checked, I've actually linked it and forgot about it. I was just too sour for a moment, when I've posted that.

In either case, my position was/is following:
I own 770/N810. Due to the certain things with closed binaries I've decided to be passive developer which translates to common user (Yes I did download apps  ). I might buy N9 as present for my wife, but otherwise intend ot ignore it completely.

I dislike the poaching of developers each time new device arrives, crippling platforms through closed sourced drivers, and prefer open hardware/os tablets.

I am interested in projects like Cordia HD, Cordia TAB, but would like to see maemo preserved, and possibly augmented in future. I am willing to join the effort as long as it is not limited by corporate politics.

If we can't close the no-vote loophole, we need to get as many candidates as possible.

Please, if you have any interest in being on the Maemo community council, nominate yourself on the Maemo community mailing list.

We need at least 6 candidates by September 15th to have a proper vote.

On the other topic, I find criteria for even voting (not candidating) quite discriminating. don_falcone mentioned that he's out of voting, cause he registered month too late - I was here on time, but got too little Karma...

I wonder how many people interested in community (and thus, voting) are filtered out by "the System".

I think you've got enough for voting:
