1. is it possible to install just only msn and yahoo im?

2. Will you plan to submit three.deb files to ovi store?

Nice to see you in this thread, Felipe, I'm really looking forward to any progress on pecan - it was the only msn worth bothering with on the n900. We haven't been developing much here, just installing armel packages from other arm distributions, hacking at the account provider and service files, and mostly getting lucky. Account creation depends on the built-in generic account plugin, and there's no account editing. Jabber is already supported though with gabble, along with telepathy-butterfly and haze.

I making QML app with features:
- changing account name, username, passwordm jabber server, ssl
- checking and installing libpurple0, telepathy-haze and im-providers

for installing just only some services need separate debs for each services

Okay here we go, questions over questions :P

@thp: Got the packaged deb files from coderus. Source thread is here:
http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...&postcount=123

Direct Links:
http://mymeegos.net/files/Developer/...10.0_armel.deb
http://mymeegos.net/files/Developer/....0-1_armel.deb

We don't need to compile them atm, because we don't patch them. The binaries are good for us, just the Debian Control file is missing the user/ prefix and XB-Maemo value.

As for im-providers-additional, these are "binary builds" only, because they contain XML files and images, but I can package them to a .tar.gz if you are too lazy to extract the deb file :P
Code:

ar p im-providers-additional*.deb data.tar.gz | tar zx
@youmeego:
1. I will do that later, by packaging them in seperate debs
2. no, policy does not allow shared libs, so no ovi store

@coderus:
See above, I will provide them later

Telepathy-Haze was now repackaged by myself from official debian sources, source link added.
libpurple was built by Gabriel Schulhof <nix@go-nix.ca>

Sources at first post, bottom (thanks @coderus for digging through your browsing history ;) & thanks @thp for reminding )

Re: [Update] Guide to: Installing AIM / ICQ / Yahoo Messenger / MSN Messenger / Vkontakte / QIP

After installing these the last week, and doing the proper integration, I've noticed couple of odd things.

From Availability, going online to Facebook gives error message "incorrect password", even though it has worked before. When I toggle offline and back to online, Facebook gives no error and signs in normally. So it's not a case of wrong password.

Also I still see empty window when I go to Messages. I can only see my conversations when I select Show -> SMS and MMS and then back to Show -> All messages.

Thanks for all your hard work! This would make for a great addition to apps.formeego.com.

Have this problem, too. Even before installing the packages... So it's not an issue of these...but still very annoying :(

I don't have this problem. There may be something wrong with your conversations...heck I didn't even know you could filter them :P

Won't work ATM...telepathy-haze is depending upon libpurple0 and AppsForMeego does not support shared libs AND requires sourcecode to be compiled on the server...

I'm getting the facebook problem, which shows as 'Empty SASL response' in the syslog. I don't get the messages thing, but I do sometimes get the email app resetting itself and asking me to set up an account. Restarting the app fixes that though.

Can't say for sure whether this stuff is causing it or not. Can anyone test if these problems occur on a clean device?
