Re: Siilihai Web Forum Reader

New mobile version:

- Fixes a few bugs
- Uses new libsiilihai version - syncing is much faster now during startup
- Non-inverted color theme

This seems to be usable, so I'm uploading it to Nokia Store soon unless major issues are reported.

Re: Siilihai Web Forum Reader

Bugs report:
- after starting application, I got "Login failed, check your internet connection.." eventhough I was online. Possibly because I didnt put login info for any forum. (tmo, nitroud, tangthuvien)
- Forum's Manage Subscription page, ie. Select TMO and press Manage Subscriptions, go back, select nitdroud and do the same. The Manage subscription page now has info from TMO instead of Nitdroid.
- Context menu page has 2 options, Quit as button and velow it is empty place.

Re: Siilihai Web Forum Reader

Thanks for bug reports. At least the group selection bug should be fixed now.
I have started using meego OBS for building siilihai-mobile. You can find latest version at:

http://repo.pub.meego.com/home:/vranki/Harmattan/armel/

It now uses webkit for rendering posts (images should work) and should start faster thanks to protocol & sync optimizations. It's also available for MeeGo Mer / Nemo but looks like the menu bar doesn't work correctly on latest Nemo.

I think it's possible to add OBS to sources.list for automatic updates.

Would you like me to add siilihai-mobile to Nokia Store? Installation would be easy that way, but uploading new releases would be slower.

Could you use apps.formeego? Installation would be easy and upgrading (from testing repo) would be fast.

That's what I was going to suggest before my net connection went down for a few hours...
Although apps4meego has been extremely unreliable in recent wks, unless my client's simply broken & I need to reinstall or something :-/
Nokia Store & apps4meego would be ideal, unless that takes too much of the devs time...

Yep, i'll upload it to apps.formeego when it's in more stable state.

The mobile version now has TapaTalk support and it's on its way to apps.formeego repository!

Meanwhile you can d/l it from:

http://repo.pub.meego.com//home:/vra....9.4_armel.deb

Let me know how it works!

Re: [MeeGo] Siilihai Web Forum Reader

It doesn't work.
A lots of forum are unsupported and with other forums login doesn't work.
It haven't the possibility to open hyperlink on the stock browser.
Sometimes it's closed unespectly.

I'm sorry but it's simply unusable. :(

Do they have TapaTalk installed or a parser made? It is impossible to support a forum without those as there is no common api.

Which ones? TapaTalk login should be supported (though not tested throughly) and parsers may support login. Most forums do not require login to be readable.

Yep, that's broken currently. It's using QML WebView component, i'll have to figure out if it's possible to catch link clicks in it.

Can you get a log output and/or stack trace?

Thanks for feedback. It "works for me" but it's still alpha quality. If you are a developer, patches are welcome.
