When you uninstall an application it deletes the .desktop file too; why it isn't happening for you i don't know...

Any idea when this started happening? After installing/uninstalling a specific app?

Can you post outputs of:
Code:

apt-get clean
apt-get update
apt-get autoremove

This showed up after i ran out of battery and restarted after fully charging N9. I may had store running in background, but not installing or uninstalling anything,

outputs coming..

Re: [HELP] How to remove installation icon?

apt-get clean: gives no output

apt-get update: gives a very long one.. any way to save it in txt automatically?

~ # apt-get autoremove
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 5 not upgraded.
~ #

About this "5 not upgraded"... i have 4 Updates of applications that were free and now paid in store, so they are there forever in the Updates. But which one is the 5th?

good luck

I am afraid i have tried this already with no luck :(
Will restore original settings help? And if yes, will I have to install all apps again?

gsalone,

You have diverted discussions into 3 threads by cross-posting so all threads merged into one; fire away now and in the future refrain from creating a new thread and having discussions in both new and old threads.

Sorry about that, I didn't mean to, but previous threads were old and problem not exactly like mine.

apt-get update just gets stuck on following line:
99% [1 exec:////usr/bin/osa --packages 0B]

Does this mean something?

Re: HELP Can't delete - Application does not exist

gsalone,

It could mean something at Store. Could you do apt-get upgrade and post the output?

~ # apt-get upgrade
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following packages will be upgraded:
chaos-control flowplayer latrace
meegotouchhome-nokia-settings squareit
5 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and0 not upgraded.
Need to get 2,815kB of archives.
After this operation, 640kB of additional diskspace will be used.
Do you want to continue [Y/n]?

Strange thing about this latrace... it does not appear in Manage applications>Updates window, but it appears here.
