Hmmm, no idea
The output mentioned that "install-sh: No such file or directory", and I only guess that you can use one available in the net (or maybe by installing x11-utils package? but I don't think so). Not sure though

As for the second one, completely no idea

ok, installed deps and now configure add ssl libraries.

but building exit with error

I'm thinking to redownload Scratchbox myself and see if I can do something about it. But then again, maybe not

gianko, please make sure that you know what you are doing before replacing someone else's package in the repositories. The source package that you have uploaded contains 40 MB of unnecessary files, that might be a hint to why it failed at the autobuilder (I guess they are leftovers from your local compilation).

Building Pidgin should be pretty straightforward, this works for me (dependencies already installed, clean folder):

apt-get source pidgin
cd pidgin-2.10.9
dpkg-buildpackage -b
I have uploaded Pidgin 2.10.9-0maemo2. It's been built successfully and is ready for download.
  • Changed source format to 3.0 (quilt) -- thanks to that packaging new versions from upstream and managing patches should be a bliss.
  • Added patch to fix Yahoo login with GnuTLS -- as requested by figaro.

Thanks, gidzzz :) No offence to gianko, but I'm happy that someone with packaging skills finally took care of this :) Installing in a moment, will report back if I find any issues (if you won't find any more posts by me in next few hours it means everything is fine).

not offended at all as i know im a newbie just reading the wiki pages and willing to learn, next time i will follow your building procedure ;)

ps: i dont even noticed you uploaded again version 2 so i sent a maemo3 package wich failed to build again, but i guess is harmless as i will stop pushing packages now that the package is correctly updated with the patch :)
