@coderus: Relax. It's not about paranoia, it's about advancing federated and connected IM networks, instead of spreading feudal disconnected and walled ones.

@shmerl server need to connect peers to peers using id number instead of ip address. no roster/huester data sends to server. and you can create your own tox server in your location to speedup tox network. its open. its like common dht network for faster searching peers

Not sure if this fits this thread or not, but since Tox is being discussed... I read this some time ago, and I have no way to make myself an opinion on it. Perhaps bringing it to the attention of people who can understand the technical parts can help me (and everybody else that could need it) to have some clarification.

Is it worth to keep an eye on Tox development (as I initially thought), or is it a project flawed at its roots as the link above suggests?

@coderus: I wasn't talking about Tox, but about Telegram. Tox has some potential, if they'll direct the project properly it can gain traction.
