I ran the apt-get dist-upgrade with 60MB, it ran but eventually said there wasn't enough space to continue the install stage... any idea what I can do?

... apt-get -f dist-upgrade seems to get it going again.

This did the trick. For any others that might be having this problem (app manager reporting you need to update via PC that is), I simply removed IOQuake and OpenArena.

Just reinstall them after the update.

I bought my device on launch day in the UK, and I've had no problems with seeing OTA updates.

Part of the reason may be because I don't have UK-specific firmware, but as someone pointed out earlier in the thread, content-delivery networks take a while to get themselves up to date, so it's probably just a matter of waiting. :)

Just got a random reboot with this firmware.I did cat /proc/bootreason and got this sw_rst. This has happened many times before this update. What should I do?

Whoa, this new update is impressive. 3D applications have greatly improved. I hope this is an indication of things to come.

For example:
Running PR 1.0, SuperTux would only run at about 30-25 fps.

Running PR 1.1, SuperTux runs at a constant slick and smooth 60fps!

Update went fine. I haven't played around with the new firmware that much yet but I noticed that Labyrith Lite runs smoothly now. Yay.

OK.... i goto Application Manager it finds the update when i click on it, it tells me to plug it into my pc and use "Nokia's Program for Updating" what is this said product, im confused why SSU isnt really working the way it did with PR-1.0.1

Can anyone give me some insight?

Try looking for it using Nokia Software Updater on the PC. If you're not seeing anything it could be that your operator hasn't approved it yet, im on o2.

I've wasted half a battery now refreshing app manager every minute looking for UK version :)
Looks like i'll need to recharge now even if it does end up showing :rolleyes:

Unless your using a branded Vodafone version, then the operator has no involvement in the process whatsoever (especially if you're updating over WLAN).

got a problem when installing with apt-get, everything went good while downloading it, i before moved the cache to home with mece guide, but when installing, i got a problem with qt4-webkit package, it stops here... and now, with df -h i only have 2mb free on rootfs... any solution ?

I've got an unlocked N900, so shouldn't be affected by operator approval (speaking of which, i didn't think there was any operator customised firmwares for the N900, just Nokia regional)

Wow, things are much faster and more responsive, but loosing the virtual keyboard's swipe-up capitalization is a big, big bummer; colons are a pain in the a*s (pun intended). Also, here's a new menu item in Settings:

Updated here in Italy... everything run smooth...

Device seems snappier and many bugs are solved...

The only thing is that it mess up my music playlist... but not a big deal...

update over wifi went smooth, however after it finished wifi stopped working. already did a reboot but still no wifi. (I tried 2 different wifi's) anyone else with this problem?

Done updating from the west coast. Everything is running great especially the browser. The browser loads pages so much faster now and when on youtube fullscreen i can control volume with physical volume key. Not having any luck getting it to go into portrait mode with browser, how exactly is it done?
