n900 is stable running @ 250/1100 megz (mine does) pero mas lalong mabilis maubos ang batt nya. Palaging tumatawag wife ko via skype video call and when she does my batt goes flat.

imho, Nokia sucks in the power management territory

pwede mo naman siya ikabit sa computer speakers, mostly maganda yung mga logitech type of speakers na pangcomputer na may subwoofer, but if tight sa budget try browsing sa cdrking speakers na may subs, make sure testing mo muna before you buy kasi alam mo naman ang cdrking baka sabog at basag ang tunog ng speakers na makuha mo sa kanila

I'm running 930/125Mhz 500Mhz DSP for last 4 months. No issues, phone very responsive. I've installed lot of junk over the time and dont know but in a week i need to restart the phone as the icons on the desktop stop responding. But i belive it's nothing to do with o/c.

This should hv been teh default speed for n900.

Btw i'm not filipino but my GF is ;)

yes that maybe right. pero we consider the n900 as a smaller laptop version (mobile computer)

ala pako laptop na nahawakan na tumagal ng isang araw yung battery with normal use. kung ikumpara natin sa ordinary cellular phone yung n900, it really suck in battery life. pero sa portable device (like pda) okay nman sya diba? so far (if your not using joikuspot) tumatagal up to 8hrs yung battery and 5hrs in 3g.

so far n900 and pinakapowerful device ng nokia ngaun, more powerful, more battery drain. bakit ndi nilagyan ng nokia ng mas-malaking battery? ewan! :D

yeah you're right, N900 is not a cellphone but a mini computer. i have a nokia e71 as a back-up, just in case. sana nakuha ng n900 ang endurance ng e71.

btw, i work in a warehouse (johnson controls, saudi arabia) where extreme dust, humidity and heat will surely test my n900. so far the only visible side effects are scratches on the screen protector and grime (i have sweaty hands) which often accumulate pero punasan lang ok na ulit. i send emails, video chat, check/download manifests/documents, take photos, listen to music, make calls and occasionaly surf without going to the office, di tulad ng dati na i have to run back and forth to the office. now, if only n900 could brew coffee it would be more than perfect :p

kudos to Nokia

Thanks :cool: Honestly I wasn't expecting for the N900 to come here ever since I read the product announcement last year. It was such a low key product (from my point of view at least).

Happy with this device. It's what I want phones to become when it started for them to get to netbook speeds.

Re: Nokia N900 Owners from Philippines

MY share about:
>>> cases
I only use a pouch along with my N900. It keeps it from accumulating dirt and grime, dust, and other things kasi ilalabas mo lang ung phone pag gagamitin unlike cystal cases, otterbox, fliptops, hard cases naka expose yung phone, protected nga sya from udden drops and others pero masyado syang open kaya mabilis pa rin madumihan.
>>> games
I have Zen Bound: great graphics, very challenging gameplay.
Open Arena, I have some quirks with this but is very much playable for me as an alternative to countersrike.
Airport, Nice game, simple but gets very difficult.
EMULATORS! have the snes, vgba and nes emulators plus sangkatutak na roms na hindi ko naman nalalaro lahat..hehehe.. pero so far try ko tapusin yung chronotrigger.
Tuxrace, cute ng penguin..hehehehe.. very nice and smooth graphics..
CURRENCY CONVERTER, self explanatory.
E-COACH, buddy ko pag nagbbike o nag sa-sight seeing.
TUNEWIKI, sing along with your n900, videoke minus the video
SSH, kelangan to, 1st app need to be installed in a fresh n900
>>> Battery Life
Galing ako n82, sanay akng bugbugin sa net at ibang bagay ang phone ko kaya Everyday charging talaga ako, guys hindi na basic phone ang n900 kaya please bear with the battery issue, it's not even suposed to be an issue dahil mas tumatagal pa nga ito kaysa sa mga laltpos, try nyo tumambay sa mga coffee shop ng walalng dalang charger, wawa yung mga nka laptop sa'yo.
>>>Screen Protector
Nkakita ako sa Metropolis Alabang, 150 including kabit, very nice protector kasi madulas na cya, parang yung screen din sa ilalim ( I've used the n900 for almost 2weeks without screen protector kaya I can tell the diiference.
>>>ETC.
Mga Pinas based N900 Users
Pag Kita kitain kaya natin mga phones natin.
Bka nkita nyo na ako, gala akong tao eh, madalas soundtrip kasma n900 pag nsa bus, nsa jip, lrt, kahit nglalakad lng kung saan saan. walang pakialam sa snatcher, subukan lang nila..hehe..

been using NITDroid since the past 4 updates, all I can say is it's at useable state now, 3d graphics ang galing it's working flawlessly, I've downloaded several quality apps like race games, it's pretty flawless. I've got more games now than games I had on my maemo os. Browser is much faster than MAEMO's but for accessing sites with flash content, maemo still on top because it runs flawlessly (except those requiring flash 10)

I see a very very good future of nitdroid. it's hard to install it for it requires some linux knowledge if something goes wrong.

If you're staying within Makati and not going out of town, then Smart and Globe are pretty much the same.

both would be pretty much the same within makati, probably smart has a wider coverage

They are pretty much the same I agree.. but I prefer Globe, am using globe now while working in Russia, they have some great plans avail and have good support for OFW as well as online payments.

i dont know why its a hassle to find money changers in more modern cities like makati and manila than others.

i lived in the boundery of caloocan and quezon city, and money changers are around like flee markets.

globe have online payments? it was a hassle to reload my roaming globe sim for the first month i've been in canada. so my option is to sign a contract with one of the service providers here.
