I live in Great Yarmouth, UK. Don't think ANYONE else within a good distance has an N900. That said I have travelled a bit to Norwich, London & Birminghan since having my N900 and not seen one single other N900 out in the wild!

nah.... i came from an e90. now that everything except office work, 80% of my desktop task have officially moved to my n900. its one of those disorders that if i lose my n900 i could die. but the battery is simply not enough for me to play with it the WHOLE day.

I know that feeling..... i use portable apps on my pendrive, and thunderbird for my email.....

im now scared now to plug it in... theres gotta be about 1000 emails i havent checked as they are all diverted to my N900!!!

No sightings of the device at all here in Sweden.

Mine is due to arrive next week, and according to an employee at a local store the demand for it is extremely high considering that there has been little to no effort put into making people aware of its existence.

You could get an extra battery for now so you can enjoy your n900 all day long :D
I guess we have to wait and see if Nokia can update the firmware and tweak the battery performance on n900 , I remember ,they came up with a firmware update before for my n95 which had a terrible battery when it was just released and it helped my n95 to stay alive more :) , LISTEN NOKIA, Finger crossed !

that too i've been looking around for, sometimes i found non-original n900 battery with 1130 mAh. then i think to myself. whats the point of getting this then?

just had a horror story last night. while taking photos of the olympic flame, someone bumped into me and hands r cold n so on, my baby took a pummel to the concrete floor from head height!! i don't exactly remember the fall entirely since i panicked n my brained worked to keep unhappy memories out of my head. but from what i remember the fall wasn't that hard. probably hit my leg which broke the fall a bit n slided couple feet horizontally. lucky i had invisible shield on and a few scratches stand. phew. thats the only battle damage i've found so far

at first i thought the camera was screwed bcoz every pic i took afterwards was yellowish and too bright. then when i'm done panicking i realized it was the dust kicked up during the fall. took out my nokia cloth, wiped it and fine again.

Switzerland, train Zurich<-->Winterthur, no N900 in the Wild but yesterday they were 4 people which were looking at me (iPhone-, Droid/Milestone-, "some old thing from Sony Ericsson"- and "a Nokia 6131 or something like that"-User) while surfing on maemo.org xD

Nice to hear there is not a lot damage .
I took some pictures of the Olympic flame on the fist day of opening, Now everytime I want to take a picture, I have to be cautious after hearing your story . I have just installed the clarivue on my n900 since I don't like the feel of invisible sheild and I don't want anything to get in contact while "touching" my n900 looolz :p

Got mine here in Beijing, and never seen one in the wild. Loads of N97 (I think the price of the Mini one got slashed on the gray market here). But I know that as soon as I ll step in Hong Kong, I ll see some all 'round. Those people spoil my fun, and I m sure that even grandmas could get one someday ^^
It s actually quite fun to see how people hanging around are proud of their phone :) I am usually misunderstood in that regard, or people seem interested, then shy away when they hear about the price tag :)

I finaly meet one asian guy with this lovley phone :)

First thing he asked me was when did i got mine?
I got mine in first batch from nokia directly ages ago and he was like i had to wait for mine till today from local operator store.... Btw after 2 min of talking i realized he soooooo dont have any clue what he bougth!!!! So i gave him maemo.org writen on a piece of paper and told him to take a week off fom work and read some :))))

have had the n900 just over 3 weeks now. i'm all the way in asia, singapore to be exact. don't think there are too many n900 users in my part of the world. it's not released in the local market, any n900 users get theirs via export sets.

still get questions and stares when i use the phone at university or in public. i like having a device that's not an iphone or nexus one, having an uncommon device.

i used to have trouble with my IM accounts draining battery, i've since gotten used to using my IM accounts only when needed, this allows me 24hrs of use and less worry on finding a charging outlet every few hours.

plus, the slide out qwerty keyboard always stumps the n97/mini users who are always trying to figure out what sort of a n97 variant i'm using :D

I'm from sydney as well. Actually, we are two of us living in Artarmon (North Shore Line) and have never come across anyone yet using one.

I have been using my phone for about a month now here in New Delhi, India. Got it through a friend from the U.S. as it's not yet released here.

Just today I came across another friend of mine here who has an N900... He got it through a friend in the U.K.

well, i have only seen one other in norwich. was a guy at my uni, UEA. didnt get a chance to have a chat with the dude about how awesome the device is tho.

I think its kind of a good thing that there arent too many about tho really cos i get the feeling the technology driving the device would be lost on a fair few people. a bit like giving a 5 year old an alienware laptop.

No, you are not alone in Houston. I actually love going into Apple stores and T-Mobile stores and evangelizing to the unwashed masses. I have even once purposely walked through Memorial City just to taunt the cell phone kiosk drones. Shamefully though I don't think I have converted any one...but I admit, this device is not for everyone.

I bought one as i've been watching from the shadows for some time, and within a day (after realizing she could play mafia wars, which is a facebook game, on the browser in all its full glory lol) my wife had to go out and get one. She loves it to bits and has dumped her iphone like a hot potato :)

About a month ago I saw a user in Subway (Greenwich, UK)... The guy hadn't even taken a bite from his sandwich as his hands and eyes were glued to the N900. I must have been stood outside the shopfront for a good 10 seconds amazed, thinking, is this how people feel when they look upon my sleek black and majestic tablet?

Haven't seen another since then.

I had the chance to play with a pre-production unit a few months ago in the U.S.

Here in Mexico, I have only seen and played with one N900, owned by a friend (who may be reading this post as well).

Nevertheless, I also know there are some other N900 users in Mexico City, even tough the device is NOT sold here and probably will not be sold here in the near future (because of the 3G frequencies issue, same as AT&T).

Of course, there is a relatively large number of owners of older Internet Tablets (N800 and N810 mostly).

Now that we are here, any Nokia Tablet owners in Mexico out there? if so, send me a priv msg in this board....

I am also in houston around the medical center area. My n900 is always with me during my ride on the metro.... sadly i havent seen any other n900's yet.

Walked into Voda today in Australia and asked if they had a caseing for my N900 the guy looked at it and said ''I HAVE NOT SEEN ONE OF THOSE IN MY LIFE'' i was like okkkkk i said its the N900 other than that i don;t know anyone else that has one around here

Everyone here is amazed by the N900 when I explain what I can do with it... I was using qtirreco and this guy came up to me and started asking me about it.. he was sooo amazed by it that he actually wanted to buy the N900 off of me! lol I said no way!

I have not yet seen someone else with an N900 here in Swansea. Carphone Warehouse does have a small advertisement in their window though.

You're using the wrong email technology if this is a worry. Use IMAP, and then all the email lives on the server and you can change devices at will.

I saw a guy get one out on the airport bus in Melbourne, Australia when i was on my holidayss. It certainly wasnt out there then (this was in Jan) so he was probably on his hols like me.

I know there's someone out there in the Grand Rapids/Coopersville, MI area that has one. My fiancee saw him with it at Movie Gallery one day, I wasn't with her though...Come forward Random N900 Guy!!

Haven't seen any other users in Seattle yet. Some Windows Mobile phones. Mostly iPhones.
