yes thats what I mean Bazza... vids dont work very well at all... :(

Sorted it

I set the fps and bitrate to convert too high and live wallpaper didn't seem to like it, i could have pushed it more but wanted to share what i have found first.

So, Ive found a shitful bug in v0.7

If you have a video set as a background, you cannot connect N900 to PC in mass storage mode - it says "cannot connect - device storage in use"

If you disable video bg, it will then connect no problems..

I have verified this and it sucks.

For a wordaround, move the video file on /home/user instead of /home/user/MyDocs and it won't complain again :)

Tried this but you can only select vids in MyDocs! :confused:

Is this a fix for the mass storage connect issue??

I found changing to another screen helps connect but if what giannoug says fixes this then it may not matter what i say. :)

It might work but you CANNOT select a video outside of MyDocs...

so really its a BUG.

Another thing i noticed is that when you have widgets active (i.e media player widget playing music, tunewiki syncing lyrics) it tends to lag the video being played as livewallpaper. I tried using the videos made by
f2thak and get the same lag response?

Do you think if i overclocked my N900 that the lag response would be different?

I modified the Accel bg theme....

Will share later today if ppl are interested.

edit: DOWNLOAD attached ZIP and extract to root of N900, not MyDocs.

**NOTE** this will OVERWRITE the original Accel theme, so BACKUP!

i tried turning all live wallpapers for all 4 desktops, but it froze my system for 3-4 minutes, until it worked again.
4 live wallpapers - unusable.

i admit, after you posted, i tried other themes. i originally tried the matrix-theme, but after choosing the other ones, the matrix one seems to be much more load-heavy than the others.

still, modern or berlin are giving me a slow system as well, far away from every-day-use. 60% load on an idle system? no way...

Oh !!! I have selected a video from my memory card and it plays OK but stutters.

I will move an mp4 to my mmc and try it and see if i still experience the intermittent USB issue.
