I very much doubt it given the reception this one has had from "community" members:-
I can feel peoples frustrations but folks please try and keep it constructive. I am sure the developer is working to sort issues but they are working against a dealine of the games themselves. I would rather take the risk of it not working and a few re-boots and re-installs than a perfect fully working bug free version ready in august!

I am happy to support such developers, if it does not work provide feedback, wait for a fix or move on. i don't see the need to get abusive:confused: I do not have th knowledge or skills to do the development myself so i am not in a position to judge others so harshly.

With the current number of Maemo devices about we need to look after anyone developing for it and support and nurture their efforts. Save the Vitriol for Nokia and their rubish handling of PR updates and OVI store.

One of the things i love about the N900 is that I can pretty much try anything with it as if all goes Pete Tong I can just do a re-flash in minutes.

mine works now. flags and all. Shows 0 - 0

edit. goal. takes about 1 mins to update widget. but looks like its working.

Same here, i have latest version from yesterday installed, north korea goal, lights appears, but when i see it, it shows NULL, NULL, when should be the name of the player and the ball was flashing in the greece side, not north korea.
Just reporting the bugs to be contructive and make it better. :)

If anybody wants the famous gooooooaal sound as your alert here it is. Download and change the ext from .zip to .wav. I just had to upload with the .zip extension as its a biggish file
Just save it as

/opt/signove-pelota-images/goal.wav

The easiest way and safest is to rename the original goal.wav something like goal1.wav first and then save the goooaal sound file as goal.wav.

I uninstalled it and downladed it directly from the website through my n900, restarted the phone also after installtion. But still the same problem; it is still displaying the time of the game.

now with the second Norh Korean goal everything was perfect, vibration, (even if i have disabled in my phone profile), lights, name of player and time of the goal.

I dont hear the sound because i have it with the silence profile, my fault. :)

I did not get any audio notificatio let alone the Gooooaal that I have been waiting for. How about you Dave?? Something must have gone wrong although I dont remember ever getting an audio notification. very strange.

Same here, notification light and vibration, but not sound (I don't want it, only pointing the fact)
I have disabled all sound notifications (sms, email, etc etc), perhaps they are using some of them to play sound?

No, the app use his own goal.wav file wich is just a sound of some bips.
Read in prevoius posts to see the location of the file in case you want to delete it.

Hello leetut,

-You need to install the package "wget" to be able to install pelota widget.

-First you need to have rootsh installed.
-Go to x-terminal
-type:

root

apt-get install wget

- after this you will be able to install pelota widget.

Sorry pelota, you really took your time to fix this one.
Repackaged the newer version, just click the link to install it through the application manager, users with "Unable to install" should have no problems installing this one.
