Installed it on the EMMC, but for some reason it feels like it's overheating and using more battery than Maemo. Most likely because it's still at an early stage.

Ok guys...simple question please.
I have been reading as lot of posts here, I couldn't find if Nitdroid is really making calls. Can you actually have a phone call?

No, you can't. you can call, and it makes the connection but you can't talk or hear anything.

so no, you can't make a phone call conversation or an sms .

u don't have to umount after the patch is done

flash player 10.1 is already working without the patch but u have to install the old version of 10.1

had a similar problem, read through the thread for solutions, but here's a quick summary

-- the instructions mention android kernel .05, yet you probably have .06, so change the entry in your multiboot to refer to .06

-- you might then get a filesystem error at the same point with the same guru meditation thingy; experiment with different values for device in multiboot; default is mmcblk0p5, for some its mmcblk0p2, for me mmcblk1p2

sorry for lack of detail, gotta run, all the answers are in this thread, read it through again

okay thanks @clovis86.

do you have any advise, why the respond on the speed is not the way i expected?

it's too slow on me, too strange, the reason why i transfer to eMMC is to increase the speed.

please advise, thanks.

since, i am now in eMMC, i read that i can format now my SDcard? is that possible now?

also, DONE overclocking,,, it's now very fast, not sure for the rest of issue if any :D

BTW: Thanks to e-yes in NITDroid, and to the author on this thread for easy steps and the rest of the people who help me, thumbs up guys!!!, cheers!!! :)

Damn, same problem here... Android boots and works nicely, but I get the Guru Meditation error trying to boot Maemo. Theres only Nitroid in the multiboot menu, pressing 0 it tries to boot Maemo but instantly stops with the guru.

Going for a reflash... :p

Edit: Phew, luckily it was enough just to reflash the Maemo kernel. Everything's now ok and multiboot works!

Code:

sudo ./flasher-3.5 -F <firmware-image> --flash-only=kernel -f -R
Edit2: Damn, something strange still going on... if I boot Android even once, the default Maemo kernel gets removed (?) and I have to reflash it again to boot Maemo. wtf?

Hi community,

yesterday, I installed NITDroid 2.6.28.NIT.06 in my N900. I did follow manual installation methods to install NITDroid in my 4gb sdcard. But now I can't able to boot maemo OS from multiboot menu. Press '0' or 'b' doesn't help. Only i can access the shell by pressing 's' while in NITDroid boot menu. I have 2 menu item available in boot menu as follows:

1 - NITDroid 2.6.28.NIT.06 on mmcblk1p2
2 -

I get the following message if i press '0' to boot maemo

can't flash kernel, required files not found
Guru Meditation #00000025.62107712

Hit any key to panic.

i try to flash N900 using nokia flasher_3.5 - but failed to do so because when i switched the phone off and press the 'u' key and plug the usb cable my phone start the nitdroid and goes to restart loop and the flasher can't able to recognize the phone.

Please, help me on this - how can i boot to maemo again. How can i uninstall multiboot and NITDroid without booting to maemo. Is there a way to do so using NITDroid shell. I don't have nitdroid-uninstaller and my phone has PR1.3 updated.
