Expansys UK now seem to be implying (on Twitter at least) that Nokia won't provide stock for UK suppliers. This seems to be at odds with what Elop/Nokia have been saying

this total denial of sale/service for the uk really is unacceptable ! to refuse to sell the latest flagship device is beyond belief . i like many uk members have anticipated the n9 for over a year and now cant get it ! rediculous ! seems nokia dont care about a great phone market . reading about expansys being basically refused stock makes my blood boil especially when the usa does get stock . nokia just expects us to be good people and wait for wp7. i personally want an n9 not its evil twin sporting wp. if they think im gonna just take it well they are wrong ! they will just lose me and many others to companies that will sell to the uk . predicament is no other manufacturer has anything i might want . been with nokia nearly 10 years from the 7250 way back and seems like my tradition of a new phone annually/bi-annually must end.no point getting android (using nitroid gives me the opinion its ok for games but not much else),ios well never so im forced to stay n900 indefinately ! dont get me wrong i love my n900 best phone i have owned but i would like a new toy too too ! no carrier support means i must raise about £500 and even then try to import one . in all honesty i doubt i can raise it :( cheers nokia for ruining a good thing and intentially attempting to fragment this community too , many key players have moved on with the gifted n950 (fair enough and thanks for the maemo apps developed to get them) but now we see less new stuff and even less updates here. i will soldier on but am just so dissapointed everything has gone this way... anyway rant over cheers for hopefully actually reading all of this post !

It seems that on the expansys site that only the 64Gb versions have been removed, you can still pre-order a 16Gb one.

Not sure what to make of N9 situation in the UK. Expansys UK seem to think they can't get the N9 here. On the other hand, handtec say the hope to ship the first phones next week.

With some level of trepidation, I've preordered from Handtec (URL for those who haven't read the whole thread:

whymobile.com in singapore comes out to $800+ for 64GB black, including shipping, paypal fee and insurance to the US. No idea if they are reputable or not.

If I can manage to convince a reseller in Montreal, Canada to carry the Nokia N9 (he's a personal friend of mine), would there be a demand for it here? To keep things simple, it would probably be only 64gb blacks, coming from Dubai.

I've just given up on the UK suppliers and ordered from a German retailer. This is not ideal as I would rather have purchased from the UK (and it would have been cheaper), but this lack of communication and mixed messages on part of the retailers did not help.

On another note, I noticed there is a UK version of the N9 charger called the AC-16X (see attached image) but I have no idea if or when it will be released.

If you do, I would suggest collaborating in gerbick's thread as to not duplicate "list" efforts, as he seems to be the furthest along towards anything concrete (and Dubai is a possible source for him too):

You are correct. Unfortunately, regardless of how we see it, those in charge at Nokia do not consider the N9 to be their flagship. It's more of a ghost ship.

Worldwidevoltage.com in Illinois has the 16GB N9 for $629. Dunno how legit they are, but might be worth looking into.

Again... that's a $120 discount on the Expansys US price. Doesn't feel like something I'd want to throw my money at.

I gave in, took the risk and threw money at Handtec.
I'll let you know if I get a cardboard cutout or the real thing this coming week.
And if I can tell where they've imported it from.

I didn't see a warranty policy listed for the n9 on expansys usa, do you know what it is?

Yeah, the ones marked "TRE" are probably locked to a swedish operator so better stay away from those. Here are the ones you want:

Shipping world wide is around $28 so it's pretty cheap. This is not one of the biggest etailers in Sweden but definately one of the cheapest. I don't think they have that many employees though because they're known to not have that good support but I don't think they're going to screw you over at least. And if you're in the EU hopefully Nokia will support the "EU warranty" so you will never have to deal with clickok directly. :) And hopefully the 64gb model will be back in stock soon too.

Edit: About unlocking the locked ones I have no idea but I wouldn't bother with it.

I did this on my order for the 16gb black, and it ended up only being $654 (free shipping and no tax as well)

i have no idea when they'll start shipping. i just ordered mine this morning, and i have the receipt/confirmation but no other emails nor has my card been charged yet. Probably just need to wait a bit :\
