Thats the thing though. For some the clock app works, some it doesnt. Same with the MeeGo booting screen and app splash screens. It all used to work on my device. :mad:

Edit: did you install it with Theme Changer??

Edit 2: overwriting the default theme fixes everything but the clock for me

I did folder copy, and then theme change with Theme Changer.
Everything works like it should.

This must be why the n9 doesn't officially support themes, they don't work properly

Version 4.0.2 Released!

Changelog:
- Install/apply script, no longer need to use Theme Changer or reboot to apply
- Contacts app: Chat, Phone & Address Icon fix




NEW Install method:

1. - Backup (Optional, but recommended)
2. - Download
3. - Copy files in zip to root of N9 via PC using USB Mass Storage
4. - Open Terminal and type:

sh /home/user/MyDocs/applytheme.sh
(NO NEED TO REBOOT!)

Installed.
I have to copy fdbtheme folder to root, then on therminal:
cp -R /home/user/MyDocs/fdbtheme/ /usr/share/themes/
and then apply it with theme changer.
After that reboot is required.

And yes, emoticons are gone, but I found an easy way to get them back.
You need to copy a folder with emoticons to root.
Then, install QAD File Manager, enable to see hidden files and folders, go to /home/user, you'll see there .emoticonthemecache, enter to that folder and delete every single emotion.
Then go to MyDocs (through the QAD File Manager), open folder with emotions, and move them one by one to in .emoticonthemecache and they'll be back.

To revert to default theme, (if you didnt install Theme Changer app to apply) run this script:

Copy to MyDocs,
in Terminal:
Code:
devel-su
rootme
sh /home/user/MyDocs/defaulttheme.sh
No need to reboot.
[EDIT, seems only reboot fully applies theme]

This will be added to next version, unless I can get a GUI working.

It's an auto extractible file, need a windows computer to extract all of it to a folder :/

Maybe someone with a little more experience can tell me what am I doing wrong. I follow the steps as mentioned in the installation instructions:

1. Download F.D.B. Theme Installer
2. Copy the content of the zip file to root directory of N9 via PC
3. Open Terminal and type:

devel-su
Password: rootme

4. sh /home/user/MyDocs/theme-install_FDB.sh

Once the script runs I get lots of not found errors after which i get lots of red blocks on my screen. The only way to get rid of it is to restore from backup.

Please let me know what am I doing wrong.

hi could you make a theme with the red shown in your post instead of blood red cuz your theme has a dark feel to it and the maroon is better placed than the blood red which is a total contrast to the excellent theme you've created.

Not sure what could be the problem. If it would be just me I would definitely know its something wrong with me :) but there are more people with the same problem.

Here is a quick detail about the device just in case there are some possible differences?

PR1.1
(20.2011.40-4_PR_01)

I have also never installed a theme changer, but I dint think i need one with this installer. Let me know if you need any other info. Thank you.

I had the same problem

I had a freshly flashed n9, installed the red theme, got lot permission denied ... all icons turned Red blocks.... and to re-flash by n9.
