It could be just the 2 push apps need to be reworked to be PR1.2 compatible. This is the first explanation I would think of instead of believing that all push function has been removed from PR1.2.

Strange thing with ebuddy XMS is, that push notifications worked once for a long time amazingly beginning with the Nokia Store version. I had to reinstall recently XMS because it all the sudden crashed a lot, since then push notifications won't appear anymore.

Guys, I am using pr 1.2 And push is still working.. Well It was yesterday.. After The update, I deleted and reinstalled Nokia account to get it to work.. Try It!

Done! And now XMS doesn't show the warning dialog! I'm going to test if I receive notifications!!

the problem bug is in account nokia. But i no understand WTF with account nokia and XMS?

It seems that ebuddy xms was pulled off the Nokia store!!

Does that mean we won't see it again or a strong indication that a final release is coming soon?

Is the "B" for beta still supposed to be in the logo icon? I've installed the latest version from Store, but the "B" is still there.

Btw, I can't find ebuddy in the Store either.

I uninstalled xms, deleted the ebuddy folder under user/.local to get a fresh install of the new beta (don't really need the history).
After installing the new version,whenever i try to register via facebook, after entering my username and password, i get redirected to a page with "Success" in it and nothing happens. can only click the back button.

Registering with Phone book tells me that I've already registered and must connect with Facebook!!

So now I can no longer use XMS since I can't see my contacts

I did it again rebooting the N9 between deletion and creation of the nokia account (as you say) and now the pulse push notifications are woking again. A pulse developer said it on pulse forum. I haven't tested XMS, but I think it should work.

Can you please go to Facebook account and check whether you see eBuddy XMS in the list of the connected Applications? If yes, please remove it and then connect Facebook again.

I have to go to categories and then social Networks to see the app. searching for "xms" or "ebuddy" does not yield any results!

I did that, after clicking on Scan Facebook Friends, I had to re-authorize xms with facebook, once I click allow, I get the the white page back with "Success" in it. attached a pic this time

Maybe this has been mentioned before, but push notifications is not working for me. I'm on Meego Harmattan 1.2 and the lastest ebuddy version.

Apparently removing your Nokia acct, rebooting, and then recreating has fixed this for those that have recently updated to 1.2.

Ok folks, me have a problem here.
Was messing around with the N9 quicktweak5.1 yesterday and my N9 switched from 4 columns to 3.
Tried all methods but to no avail so did a hard reset on the phone and everything was wiped out & had to reinstall everything again.
Now, i have a problem initializing my Ebuddy.
Everytime it says i have registered before and will send a sms to me, it never does.
Also, it keeps saying it wants to import ctcs from FaceBook which I do not want.
I only use those on my phone contacts.
So anyways, i tried, logged into facebook and it just says successful and nothing else.
I have deleted, rebooted and reinstalled a couple of times and is lost atm.
Please advise what's my next best course of action tks

Solution to facebook friend issue
 
I have stumbled upon the solution to the "re-adding facebook friend problem" that many people are facing after reformatted or deleted the XMS folder.

Here's what you'll need to do. Click "Find Facebook friends" on your ebuddy xms, then when you landed on the facebook login page, select another language (I picked Bahasa Melayu) after that select "alternative login method". Next, key in your login ID and password, walla! your ebuddy XMS will start syncing with facebook again. This method also worked for the same problem I faced with Colorss.

But push notification is still yet to resolve =( it works someday for me.

A fix was mentioned earlier in this thread & in the Nokia Pulse thread at Beta Labs.
Apparently it's to do with a bug in the push framework...
The workaround is to remove your Nokia acct, reboot, & then recreate your account.
This seems to have worked for everyone that's tried it so far.

Yes I did that before and it worked for me. I've noticed a potential downside though. The store doesn't seem to recognize what apps I've bought before. For example Cute Tube has a "buy" button instead of "Download" even though I've bought that app before.

Worked for me, no need to change the language though. Just select alternative login and login

Alas you may not have rebooted after removing acct.
Even if you did the 2nd time it may have been too late.
But if you're not comfortable by all means stay away from the workaround.
It is your phone after all....

just to share my ebuddy started showing weird bugs (two message threads from the same person, messing up of conversation times), especially after someone attempted to send me a picture file.

so i uninstall (incl deleting the eBuddy folder) and reinstalled the Nokia store version. It solved the problem but i have no push notifications! Tried the recreating nokia account method to no avail. I even created a new nokia account just to make sure.

came to this thread and realise there's a later version (1.103...-.41). Installed that it seems to be perfectly fine now.

any idea what did i do wrong?
