I posted from the website, because I wanted to learn about specificites of the Facebook API. Posting comments (in a threaded way) is not supported at all now.

I guarantee no release date for the new Facebook application, but am working really hard to achieve new stuff. Just check the repository (click on the commits tab, and you will see a lot of SfietKonstantin :D)

Moreover, it is a shared effort. I'm working with someone at Jolla that lives in Australia, and it is not easy to sync in order to cooperate.

And, once again, I warmly welcome anyone to join us in this project :)

Can you provide alpha packages, no matter what state? You'll get a lot more feedback like that. Ask Basil from Nelisquare. :)

I'm trying to get a feature that is blocking me.
Currently, we have an inconsistant state while moving from page to page. I'm working hard to get this issue fixed, but cannot give you any release date for alpha builds.

Don't uninstall "friends-clientid" package

It is still called 0.1.0.
Basically, nothing works :D You can only
* List the (IIRC) first 1000 friends (and they are not sorted)
* List the first 20 albums
* Get basic informations from the user (gender, bio, quotes etc.)

Right now I don't have the friends-clientid installed, do i have to install a previous version to get it before installing new version or can I go with the new one? :)

Most of you are still trying to download from the build.pub.meego.com repository, that's why it do not work anymore.

It should fix all problems related to the client id etc.

You should remove everything related to qfb (including the clientid), since everything is now shipped in a single package.

This new release includes photo browsing. It seems to also include a nice bug causing segmentation faults !

It should. It is called friends-qml and do not have an icon (yet).
Or do (in terminal, as root)

I don't understand because v. 0.1.1 is not as good as v. 0.0.6 and now I can't reinstall the 0.6! (Can't apt-get update repo.pub.meego.com(140.211), error no connection)
I removed v. 0.06 first and then the sk-repo-enabler before installing 0.1.1
Open up 'News feed' and 'Groups' is not possible.
'Me' is blank but have menu 'Personal info', 'Albums', 'Photos' which all are OK.
'Friends' seems to be OK.
Do You know what could be the problem?:confused:

Meego OBS is down so the repo doesn't work anymore... This is a really-early alpha using the new nemo-qml-plugins, so lot of things are broken (as written by @sfiet)

However I don't have much time to rebuild it. Because my time is used to build newer versions of Friends: 0.1.2 !

It ships with bugfixes and sorted friends (at last !)

I will continue to release small iterations towards a better client. Maybe for the next release you will get news feed. Or maybe just a bugfix for annoying list that rewinds itself when you go back.

Just remove sk.repo in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ ? (or something close to sk.repo, I'm not even sure of the name anymore).

Should be that. But please check if you have the package "sk-repo-enabled" installed. If yes, you should uninstall it.

So you don't have my repo I think.
I'm not sure about which to remove. Read the files here and remove all that contains "repo.pub.meego.com". That's the safest thing to do.

Anything looking at repo.pub.meego.com won't work, and could either be removed or replaced. There's a backup on skeiron if necessary:

Any chance to cache images (banner, avatar etc.) so it is already loaded when it scrolls into the view?! I don't like it fading in (only upon first time loading) It always makes the app look slow and not instantly there...

Can we do this with QML?

Actually, it is either not smooth or loading asynchronously. I added a transition, but if you don't want it, I can remove it
