Nokia's and Microsoft's new motto:

"Better Than Free"

Linux can't compete with that.

That's actually a great position to take for them.

Don't know if the Lumia 900 release is a fail, epic fail, or something that only danramos can label... "ultra-mega fail" perhaps?

It would have been news if the Lumia 900 came out and had no problems. Glitches and software fails are just Tuesday at Nokia these days

I reckon Nokia should be commended for acting so quick and being positive for this "glitch".

They appear to be open and frank with this issue in describing the fault being with the software and carrier, then offering replacement handsets and money back too. That's a Win-Win for customer service in my book and such a stark contrast when compared to the old nokia we know where you would have to wait for a bug-fix update.

It is also amazing service when you compare them to other manufacturers too... Apple would claim it to be an omitted feature left out so not to compromise the stability of the OS and the Androids would be arguing that they do not have enough conclusive evidence from end users to the claim it as a fault. (okay, a slight exaggeration) ;)

But still, credit where it is due. Well done to nokia for acting so soon!

The Fail never seems to end for Nokia, MS and the Lumia 900

If Nokia or MS were even a little bit relevant Lumia 900 would probably replace the word fail on the internet

LOL!

Nokia lowers Devices & Services first quarter 2012 outlook and provides second quarter 2012 outlook

Windows Phone does a great Job...

So they now do admit that WP was a fault?

2m lumias sold in the 1Q.

2% market share.

:D

I think Symbian fanboys = Nokia fanboys
Maemo/Meego fanboys = Nokia fanboys
WP fanboys = Nokia fanboys
but
Nokia fanboys != Symbian fanboys
Nokia fanboys != Maemo/meego fanboys
Nokia fanboys != WP fanboys.

WP and Lumia will not fail. But they will not become the new Android either. They will however create a viable ecosystem where people in general are more satisfied than they are with Android or iOS for various reasons.
