its not about vodafone... I got mine unbranded from nokia retail... and using o2 sim card in it... nothing shows up yet......

Specifically do you have the "203" variant, or a generic fw?

Does anyone know the difference between the UK firmware and the global generic? Keyboard mapping? anything?

oh they sometimes are :) - but you learn to explain your problem better and search :) - in most cases today people have researched and done screenshots etc :D :D
