Not to spoil the fun, but have any of you tried using Facebook on Opera on the N900? Try it, and it will be all too obvious that apps like this one are good only ion the iPhone where Opera for mobile cannot be installed.

Yes, Facebook looks great on Opera. But it doesn't have notifications via GUI, which is something that makes a difference for sure.

@Reflektorfalke

I apologize for not having explained myself better. In the attached image you kindly posted, one can see a small picture and a text portion besides it. This effect is achieved, as you showed, by posting a link. Which means that there has to be first a web page containing what the link points to.

What I meant is if it would be possible to add Sociality the functionality to get a small picture from the phone's file system, type the desired text and post both in such a way that they appear indented as is the image you provided. I ask this supposing that the Facebook API exposes a way to do so.

Is that even possible on facebook.com?

No need to apologize, think I finally understand...hopefully :D
The short answer: Sociality has a simple photo upload already:
Go to photo´s -> select the target folder (or create a new one by selecting "new album" from top bar menu) -> select "upload photo" from top bar menu -> select pic for upload via "local file" or "camera" -> Done!

As I understand there is no option to add a comment atm...

But there is also the in-build image sharing for Facebook in Maemo which supports tagging, geotags, resizing, image titel and description...

Yep, it is. See first attached image for upload dialog from facebook.com and second one for uploaded image...
("Sociality test" = comment; "Wall Photos" = containing folder)

Would be nice to have a pic upload from "New status" menu I guess, but having all the options the in-build upload has would be really cool :-).

Yeah sure, having upload from Sociality and in-built is kind of redundant, but so what? FB-app without proper image sharing is kind of incomplete, right :D?

I think MAG wants to have this baby "feature complete" first. We should wait until he clarifies what he wants and needs...
E.g. which of the suggestions so far he likes best, if he wants to keep it Maemo-style or more Harmattan-like...
