ya agree with you, once voice call works, we can use android for long time, instead of switiching back to maemo. Gr8 job eyes.... Gr8 job......
Just add voice call and n900 simply rocks. I have 3 options in my multiboot
mameo
mameo with overclocking
and nitdroid gingerbread
Really no other phone can do it. tht'sy n900 is so special

No can do man.
I don't think n900 will hold even a day with NITDroid as a main OS. So we need to wait after the voice call for e-yes to work on power management.

Cant wait for voice calls to work and power management set up. Any ideas how long it will be guys?

Also whats the best android/nitroid to install on n900 atm? I did install it a while back but decided to go back to standard but now looking to use multiboot again but not sure which version to go for?

Did you install the latest version of nitdroid? The accelerometer should be working by itself.

Yup. I am using N12 Umay installed in EMMC. Screen rotation is working but accelerometer is not working in games.

If screen rotation works, it means that accelerometer is working too. The Real question is Can you use the accelerometer in games or other applications???
I think that there was a patch over the Net to enable the accelerometer in games, but it's better to wait for an official answer from developers. Here you go!

Well, I guess the patch was for the older versions of nitdroid. I am not sure but I think accelerometer is working by itself in gingerbread!

Hey,all friends plz help me.I have installed NItDroid on emmc as shown in wiki.I have 5gb custom emmc vannila flashed.and i have done evry thing right as per wiki.My nitdroid also works fine but it doesn't read my sandisk external Sd.I have followed the leafpad file and made it clear tht i have mmc inserted.So now wht should i do to get my sd read in nitdroid?Hopping for favourable responce.Thanx in advance.

The accelerometer is working but is 90degrees out, this <i>might</i> be for a reason (for screen orientation to work) but is obviously not useful for games.

we also need a gud camera.fm transmitter and accelerometer in games.also it would have been the best if we could play multitouch games in nitdroid with keyboard

Help needed!!!

I followed (to the letter) the wiki for installing NitDroid on emmc (I used method 2). All went well and when rebooting I got the option in multiboot to boot into Nitdroid.

Took the option and now the phone has been stuck on the lines:

A N D R O I D [14124.673858] enabling adb
[14124.684234] adb_open
[14125.018981] warning: 'rild' uses 32-bit capabilities (legacy support is in use)

For about an hour!

Any suggestions or guidance?

anyone know if you can make your own tar of the new kernel (nitdroid-kernel-2.6.28-07_6-rc6_armel.deb), or are we still waiting for the .tar.bz2 to appear in http://downloads.nitdroid.com/e-yes/ before installing N13?

Android has updated its Market and my Android Market was updated automatically. But, the latest version of Android Market crashes on NITDroid. I've tried to uninstall update from settings, but it always update the Market automatically.
How to turn off the auto-update?

NITDroid N12 Umay eMMC autoinstaller, an interactive script which allows you to install NITDroid N12 successfully on your eMMC with a tap!

Note: you should have Kernel-Power installed, I will release another Kernel-Power-non-dependent version tomorrow.

Oooh, forgot to mention that one of the most demanded things in the previous autoinstaller - progress bars - is now implemented in this installer, since wget has a naturally inborn progress bar.

Yes I did.

Does it matter if I have flashed the custom emmc before? Cause I can only see maemo option on multiboot.
I don't remember seeing any error msg.

Any thoughts?:confused:
