did you pay for the film through itunes? if so i have a site you can buy from (legally) no need for drm removal and the likes once downloaded unzip drag and drop

For those that have the device. I know about jittery iPlayer, but no ine has said if they'd tried selecting the "Lower bandwidth" option at the bottom of the iPlayer site.

Also, I'm sure someone has mentioned this already, but iPhone to N900 iPlayer comparison isn't a fair comparison yet. The iPhone plays special mobile streams, whereas the iPlayer attempts on the N900 are full on "desktop streams" of significantly higher quality!

Great site found it about a year ago for my girlfriends ipod touch straight forward mp4 movies and i just dragged and dropped the movie Bruno quality is unreal very happy :D

make sure and read download instructions as its got to be unzipped first:D

oh and change currency at the side does my tits in lol

Ah you too? I suspect Winchester made a huge screw up then as that is where mine is coming from (showed up as Vodaphone Store, Winchester on my bank statement).

I didn't bother to try ringing them though, will give them until tomorrow afternoon.

I really hope that everyone gets their N900 today, especially those who preordered in Sept/Oct. I know I was very lucky getting mine on Saturday (ordered 21st Oct), but it certainly is worth the wait...a fantastic device. But yes, MPD have a lot to answer for with all this, really poorly organised...

recent updates on this thread have nothing to do with MPD orders for n900. As much as I will care when my phone arrives at present I dont need to see how certain films work and others dont. Can we keep to the point and use other threads to talk about none mpd issues.

Got a email from MPD today morning at 06:43am
Your order has been despatched but Thay can't dispatch that early everything is closed I believe that been posted yesterday (as Thay promis me saturdayand) I will get a card from royalmail when come back from work. Because just leaving for work. Will let u know wot ever happened.

I'm glad that people have confirmed the status' are unreliable, because mine should arrive today but still my status is Ready for Despatch, has been since last Thursday.

BTW, I agree the last few posts (including mine) have gone a little off topic.

Without getting into an argument as I am sure your canny lad. But I guess this works both ways it depends on the context of how it is taken. I.E you could assume it is for order customers to complain or update on orders, or it could be taken as you have to discuss anything possible to do with your fone as you bought it from MPD.

So we both could be right or wrong

I know the feeling with assignments too! got an assignemt due on thursday, still gotta write group report, individual report, test the thing, and do an "illustrated overview" oh yeah and finish the main part of it. Not much sleep for me this week!

Got the same email, around 6am. Status says complete now in their website. But still no phone! I'm at work and thinking of popping home during at some stage to collect it from the post office if there's a card waiting there. What time can you collect from if you've missed the postman? Something like after 4pm? Or is it before that being that it's special delivery?

Oh the email you received confirming shipping, did it have your IMEI number, phone number in there or was it like mine which just had some parameters like {{IMEI}} instead of the values?

Firstly, just because it says complete doesn't mean they've defo tried to deliver it (hopefully you'd expect to get it today though).

Not sure what effect special delivery has on collecting, but when ever I've had a card it normally says to wait X hours before attempting to collect, last one I had said 24hours!

Also, opening days/times vary, the collection depot that I used to have to go to near Great Barr (in Brum), was Mon-Fri 7am til 12pm (absolutely crap opening times!!). So it varies from depot to depot, think the one near my in Gt yarmouth is much more open than that!

Guys and Gals....

Just saw a white van pull up outside. It had 'Rent a Car' written on it but a Royal Mail chap just delivered my N900 - whooooooaaaa.
I asked where was the Royal Mail van and he said that they had had to rent extra vans to cope with the extra deliveries. This one chap had over 70 Special delivereis on his own so couldn't deliver his normal packages so someone else was doing that.

Anyhow, don't be surprised if the traditional red van doesn't pull up outside. It might still be your N900. Now I am off to open this thing up and charge it up. All the best and I suspect that we may see a few more deliveries today.
