I rang NokiaRetail in Manchester, they told me they expect units around middle of the month but couldn't guarantee it!

some guy on howard forums said nokia has charged his card agian today. can those of u with nokiausa check to see if you have been billed or charged again. i think if you have , those with overnight shipping should get theirs tomorrow.

sorrywhat ive said here is not entirely true they said it would be sent straight from nokia warehouse as the work together but that nokia were expecting tomorow and that i should recieve 16th or 17th:D

I keep checking in with amazon but they seem to be the only ones not giving any kinda dates out. Im not sure why other then they just want to play it safe. I hope by the end of the month.

That's pointless. If you phone Amazon you talk to some poor phone-droid who can't actually do anything except read what it says on the screen. And the screen is saying the end of the month.

They'll just give you some random date probably. Seems like Nokia hasn't told any other retailers sometime around the 30th.

Point taken but if the computer says end of the month its the end of the month, nokia and MPD did state its costomers would recieve b4 anyone else so there you have it .

I must admit I am surprised that a few units did not get delivered to people today in Europe. Did they ship by turtle?

If no units are in hands tomorrow, something is not right.

Amazon has a habit of posting a pessimistic date and dispatching sooner. I'd say it's the end of the month at the latest. Any later than that, and they really will be losing orders.

Since Nokia sweden added a extra delay for all swedish customers, I assume you send you n900 back when you receive it.

I have been billed the regular "checking your card's validity" and an additional one of the same amount which I'm hoping is the real charge. I will let you guys know when it either disappears or changes from pending to charged on my chase account. :)

I have a Sep 24th NOKIA USA preorder with overnight shipping. My card has not been charged and the order status has not changed.

What I think is really odd is that they stopped taking pre-orders and removed it from their search results. That suggests to me that they no longer know when and how much stock they'll get so the "End of month" is just a placeholder date.

OPK Noted that Nokia having launched the N900 in November, shipped 3 Million Units, recording the highest ever sales of a Smart phone,dumbfounding the yuppies at Engadget. Sadly no one knows where they have gone to (N900's not yuppies)

I just checked Amazon US. The N900 still shows up in search results and they are still taking preorders.

Sorry I meant Amazon UK. A few weeks ago they changed their date to end of November, turned off preorders and removed it from search results which is all a bit worrying.
