Dev: "Oh, ages."
Elop: "And what would be the benefit from this?"
Dev: "A minor PR boost - a handful of FOSS people are asking for it on forums"
Elop: "OK, well, will those people come back to Nokia, buy phones and generate word of mouth?"
Dev: "Lumias?"
Elop: "Yeah"
Dev: "Not a chance in hell"
Elop: *pulls trapdoor lever, dev plunges into fiery pit* ... "NEXT!"

I think it would be more like:

Elop: "Come in!"
Dev: "Just to ask, how much will it cost..."
Elop: "Wait, who are you again?"
Dev: "Oh, I'm the Maemo guy. I..."
Elop pulls trapdoor lever, dev plunges into fiery pit.
Elop: "I knew I had missed one!"
He flings around stands up and kneels down to a holographic projection of Ballmer.
Elop: "Lord Ballmer, my task is complete."
Ballmer: "Good, good, my young apprentice. The cancer has been exterminated. Now, witness the power of this fully armed and operational private equity firm!"

Ughh when is PR 1.3 coming out already, this is pissin me the F*** off! I'm waiting forever for this thing to come so I can install NitDroid with it without going through annoying complications when Pr 1.3 is actually out.

Re: N9 PR1.3 by end of May'12

I personally hope it takes much longer, so long as there's still a small team actively working on it.
The team has become so small now, that they need way more time to get more fixed or implemented.*
If it gets to October and we're still only hearing hints that it's coming, THEN I'll start to get irritated.
But based on the snippets we've been getting in this thread, I think were getting it (if at all) in 1-4wk.

*They could follow the "release early & release often" mantra...
But the chances of them being allowed to release major updates after 1.3 is hugely reduced IMO.

If you read only Engadget or similar I wouldn't blame you for having that perspective...
Yes they're in trouble, but the extent to which they are has OFTEN been exaggerated/simplified in the past yr, & that's had quite an impact.
Not saying that alone is why they're doing poorly, or even the main reason, but it certainly is a factor.
