Guys,

Shop-BLT has ordered 24000 N900´s for themselves on preorder, and sold 14000, how big can they be, tops 1-5% of the total market?

So Nokia has perhaps sold between 480,000-2.4 million phones of the N900 already? (24000/0.05=480,000 / 24000/0.01=2,400,000)

I don´t care where the number ends, but any number there in between is awesome and means a lot of $.

Apple has sold 20 million Iphones in their 3-4 years of endlessly pushing them. If Nokia has sold 0.5-2.4 million without any fanfare or the device even being out, I consider that awesome.

Ok so which accessories have people bought here for their N900´s?

I work as a consultant and travel around quite a bit, so the stuff I bought is things that I use for my work.

I´ve bought myself the following:
- Screen protector
- Mobile charger
- Couple of coiled micro usb cables (they pack nicer than the other ones and I always misplace them so I need one for the office, one for home and one for my travel pack)
- 16gb microSD
- XPAL2000 battery
- Mobile Tripod
- Cables to connect it to a vga/svga projector
- Rubber/plastic semi-soft surround case

I´m still waiting for Noreve (noreveusa.com) to release their N900 cases, if they already had I would have already gotten one. Btw. I got an email from them today saying that at the end of the month the case should be out and that they´d send out 15% discount coupons at that time.

None yet, waiting for peoples reviews, as my history of screen protectors is shoddy, memory cards even worse, and don't start me on faulty chargers!!! :) - i need good reviews peoples!! :)

JUST IN:

Somalian pirates has taken over the shipment of the N900. They now require firmware 1.1 due to bugs in their 3g network.

Peter has been sent there to negotiate, but were shoot to death because he just stood there and ignored their questions.

Hey, you have LOTS of time till we get this thing. I say make a screenplay out of this and turn it into a TV show! I know it will be tempting, but don't let all the deserving players get killed in the first episode!

Its the only good thing that has come out from the day they announced the N900.

And the its the only thing that makes the waiting less painful.
I only posted those things because i wont be getting the device until 2010, and thats only for us in Sweden, its going to be released just as planned in all other countries. Just unfair.

But i will stay on topic from now on.

Has anyone heard anything from buy.com? I tried contacting them a couple times by e-mail about when they will be recieving it from nokia and shipping out, but only got a lame canned answer. The rep even had the audacity to tell me that the n900 had an expected RELEASE date of 11/20/09, even though I clearly stated that Nokia started shipping on 11/10/09 and linked to the press release. It seems to me that the date Nokia starts shipping to retailers from the factory is the release date... but maybe I am wrong.

I'm doubtfull that the first batch will arrive today. I think its more likly for Monday.. Ever post I've seen nobody is reporting that the money has been taken for the device and the shipping statment has not changed...

BTW: The battery of my old phone has expired, and therefore I was waiting for the N900 to avoid expense for a new battery. But now it was too late. I boght a cheap new phone (cheaper than a new battery for my old phone) and can read this thread more relaxed. I can wait now for falling prices. Nokia, you are too late in the sense of Michail Gorbatchov!

News: German reseller ProMarkt did not update delivery state but raised the price a little bit instead of answering to my request.

Don't go on live chat with MDP today then, I think they've got the work experience kid on.

They haven't copied me the text but it went something like................

Me: Can you update me on N900 delivery? I know you've probobaly already been asked.

Them: Mid November. Don't know we haven't got a date.

Me: I thought we were getteing them Monday/Tuesday.

Them: at this point I thought I'd been cut off. Then 5 minutes later.

Mid November.

Me: I suppose Monday is Mid Novemeber.

Them: Don't know.

Me: It may be worth informing your customers as I believe you have 500 pre orders?

Them: Ok

You've got to love them. Anyonme else fancy a go?

Delivery of Nokia N900 stock into our Nokia stores has unfortunately been delayed by two weeks to w/c 16th November. The delivery when it arrives will be the first N900 stock in the UK and orders will be dispatched on a first ordered, first serve, basis directly from our Nokia stores. For those of you that have already pre-ordered and are expecting dispatch on the 30th October as previously advertised, please accept our sincere apologies and be assured that you are top of the dispatch list for a new Nokia N900.
