Bah, looks like it's all going to hell in a hand basket, reading this thread :-(

I ordered last week, 16 hours later they asked for a bank statement to be emailed (*eh* ?), which I did.
Now silence.

Unable to get them on the phone, no response to emails.

Useless :-(

I don't suppose popping into my local Nokia or MPD shop and asking them what the status is going to help, right ?

Well it looks like most people will get there phones today but it seems to have been a bit of a lottery if you where lucky enough to get yours from a store such a newbury they seem to have sent the phones and worried about the admin later, as i have just recieved the mail to say despatched but my phone was delivered saturday despite mpd saying it would not be hence i only picked it up from royal mail yesterday, but at some stores they seem to be dragging there feet. Not all people who have to pay something will get a phone call i did not . One other point i have to stress is despite it saying delivery before 1pm mine was delivered at around 3pm.
On a positive note phone is great mic works. No reboots, just a shame i am still waiting for screen protector so still using to n95 good luck to all today .

I've still got nothing and if my phone is coming from the Guildford store it doesn't sound like they are in any rush to get them out.

Hi every one I need every once prayers because I believe my phone is coming today as I said in my prv post. But I'm at work doing 9-6 home is 30min drive from work just spoke to my manager if I can take late break about 4pm instead ov 1pm I have a drs app lol. And woo hoooo he said yes. Now going home and pick up the rmail card and going to pick up the phone plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz pray for me card is there and pat man deliver my phone back to collecting office before 4pm. Thanx in advance.

Gutted for you. Mine does it quite a lot. I've got 2 choices really. Send it back. :( Or just hang on till Nokia have them in stock. It seems to do it a lot if you try and go too quick for it. Does it a few times while recharging. deffo not a sim card issue. (Italy?)
Dont bother ringing Nokia care. They dont know how the phone works. "Do hash star etcetc" Me "you do know those shortcuts dont work on this phone?" Them "er.........no, how dou you find out what version it is then sir?"

Ninja have you installed any apps on handset for it to be rebooting as that seems to be common problem with them that some apps have not been tested correctly

Different shops different dispatch times. Guilford where mines at are definately slacking or they have the brunt of the orders. Made my mandatory phone call again earlier and spoke to a more helpful person than yesterday. He has my phone in front of him and I am 3rd on the list to be dispatched today so definately/maybe/hopefully tommorrow.

Grr just got off the phone to MPD,
Asked him (very nicely!) if he could tell me which store at which my N900 was being processed, before I even managed to finish the sentence he rudely interrupted me with a "I cannot tell you sir." I said "You can't?" "no." he said. "when did you order?" "19th nov". "Friday by the latest, thank you good bye." he said!!!

How rude. And I wanna know where my N900 is :( :( :(

Guess they are snowed under with calls, so he was being curt to try and get to the next one. How did you manage to speak to them ? I've tried many times today and only got the answerphone after 20 seconds of ringing.

Wont be buying **** from MPD again that's for sure. Has to be the worst consumer experience i've ever had. Delay after delay, now im stuck in my house for a week (work at 4pm-12 all this week) on a mild suggestion by way of chinese whispers(no racism intended) that i SHOULD get it by weekend, but no promises.
I have a promise. If I get messed around anymore to later find that ive been given a dodgy unit after all this, Ill send it back for full refund and buy a different device altogether. I have no brand loyalties fortunately. It seems that this forum and its members are the best thing about this device from what i've discovered. Ive been patient, very patient but this is just a joke now. Sorry for rant people. just very pissed off now :mad:

OK - Mine's arrived this morning - my wife didn;t tell me as she wanted it to be a surprise.

Ordered 24th September,
Awaiting 'despatch' 3rd Dec,
called on 4th for card confirmation (and told it was already sent),
delivered 8th Dec.

T Mobile Contract.
