tbh you can get the kernel, make the sfos changes, and flash it to the xperia when it comes out. see what happens

UK people: Argos have the sim-free X in black on offer at £229 (there maybe an additional small saving through quidco/topcashback).

Bought it for my girlfriend as her AquaFish was dying. She really likes it, seems like a great phone but only downside is that it runs android :(

The danger is that, slipping release dates, ppl will not be able to find Xperia X devices.

You are really optimistic. I would say: The danger is that, slipping release dates, ppl will not consider Sailfishos on an Xperia device.
