yeah it really ****ing daft. Some from sept still waiting. I ordered 8th nov and still waiting yet the typical thing happened of some people who ordered later than me have already got theirs delivered. Getting wound up about all this. Dont really want to have to call one of the stores and moan cos ive been working in retail for 5 years myself and know exactly what its like when someone comes in/phones up just to shout their head off at you. It just used to wind me up cos i only worked there to pay the bills not cos i wanted to make sure mr smith got exactly the right tv for him at a dirt cheap price. However.... i do think MPD are being especially lazy and disorganised and need a massive army boot up the arse!

If everyone elses including my own experiences are anything to go by. Don't bank on it, infact it's highly unlikely. Had Ready for dispatch since first thing Thursday last week and when I called today they still hadn't sent it. Just said mine was at the top of the list to get dispatched today for delivery tommorow. Still not holding my breath though.

Personally ignore the status on your account, its pretty pointless...

whats the first letter of everyones surname? and have you recieved it? and if so, when?

just wondering cos maybe they're doing this in alphabetical order as apose to the apparent first come first serve. It'd explain why there's still no sign of mine cos my surname starts with W

All of you who are getting happy over "ready for delivery" status should not get your hopes up to much. My status has said RFD for the past week, and i don't see a n900 in my hand

Got a royal mail card @ 10:40am today saying I have 2 parcels waiting for me.... I have three coming actually. I hope one of them at the PO is the n900.

P.S. No calls have come through - still says ready for dispatch,

I think it's down to order date (partly), but mainly the type of contract. I think mine was in the same batch as NinjaBG - Both ordered early October on T-Mobile (paying for the phone in part).

Hello hello im writing this on my n900 which was delivered today. I didnt even have to break every speed limit to pick it up from post office, my lovely neighbourgh signed for it. Everything works, all seems to be fine. Ordered 7th nov, had no dispatch email or money taken from account.

Just checked my order status and it changed from "Pending PAC" to "Ready for dispatch"!

I know, I know - I have a long way to go yet it could be another week until I actually get the N900.

there not doing it by alphabet or anything like that, if u think about it, they hav multiple outlet sources to distribute the fones, so they probably distributed the order list amoung lets say 6 outlets for example, so each store has a list of orders. But the problem with this form of distribution is that any one of these stores may have 50 orders ranging from the september to december to get thought, but as these stores have limited stock, say 40 units, it stands to reason that people whose orders went thought to these stores would have order dates from september to november.

But because not each store recieved the same levels of stock, or aren't processing them as fast, it creates a situation where people who ordered late recieve the fone early purely because of the distribution method. In short, multiple stores, multiple order lists, multiple stock levels = unfair distribution...

just my thoughts tho lol as with everything MPD related, it can never been 100% accurate!

Looks like I'm in the same boat. After several reboots, mine will now only boot so far and then freezes on the white dots. tried taking the battery out but it did the same again. Anyone got any ideas please?

Ordered last night 7/12/2009 and mine has just changed to Ready for Dispatch only 24 hours later.

Not that I'm expecting it to arrive this week, but you never know.... ;)
