Realizing I ended totally off topic here.
Just a last thing I have to correct: GPS now works on my Xperias XA2.

I just realised I had to install the positioning package for my region. :o
Then I got fixes on the devices, even inside the home, wifi on or off, with personal GPS settings with every option enabled.

I used to have the same problem and reverted back to the defualt camera app, but then I sometimes (rarely) have the same problem there. Haven't investigated.
