Try this instead:
Quote:

/usr/bin/dbus-send --print-reply --dest=com.nokia.mediaplayer /com/nokia/mediaplayer com.nokia.mediaplayer.mime_open string:"file://<again, file name with trailing slash>

What does "with trailing slash" mean? Put an extra "/" after the file name?

Oops, I mean it as in /media/mmc2/File etc so there should really be three slashes, one being included as the path to your file.

As for trailing, time for me to get an dictionary >.<...

It worked!! Great.

Now the second part: how do I play all the songs in a directory from the command line? What I need is the same you get when you "select all" in the filemanager and then open them. It creates a list, and plays it in sequence.

Thanks a lot for your help!!

Best,
L.

EDIT: I did it the hard way, looking for all files in directory, and call like this: "...dbus.......string:<directory>/{file1,file2,file3...}"

Notice that "file://" is not necessary.

Thanks!

Lots of the included apps with Maemo force you to run dbus-send twice if you do not include file:// so it's a good habit to get into.
