I think the TMo angle is a no brainer, and we'll see it sometime in the next 5 months. They see the demand.
On the other hand, TMo will win regardless since the radios only support them, just like the N95-3/4 did. People will buy unlocked and still run to TMo for activation, an even cheaper prospect than subsidizing. I think maybe TMo wants to see how fast it gets taken up as an unlocked device, and will base its decisions on that data as for how much subsidy it gets. If people buy it and run to at&t, it may make TMo give up a high subsidy, but if not, TMo will probably give a light one. |
