EDIT: The path should also be the reverse of the route. That is, the "this is you" marker should be at one end of the line for path and at the other end for route. I'm thinking the bottom of the icon for path.

How about different colours for magnification + and - so they are more obvious ?

One noobie announces himself here _o/

I have couple of questions;
- why does maemo-mapper always start with zoom level so far instead of remembering my last zoom-level? Can this be configured from the program itself?
- what is URL & other settings to get Google Maps being used instead of Open maps?

Thanks for the effort on implementing maemo-mapper to N900 :)

Any suggestions for the following icons?

* go to location (this will open a menu with items such as "go to lat/lon", "go to address", "go to GPS position",...)

* toggle view options (this I forgot to mention before. It should open a menu with items related to the map view: "toggle autocenter on/off", "toggle auto-rotation on-off")

How about a blue arrow pointing downwards to some sort of circle?

Maybe a compass-style icon?
