http://www.mrmobileuk.com/images/nok...-handsfree.jpg also has three tracks.....but dunno if it means the remote is definitely gonna work. i've heard there's a few bluetooth headsets with a remote that work but i'd prerer wired i think. bluetooth connection often ruins the sound quality |
Re: Which earphones are you guys using?
i hope someone makes an eq with no bugs soon or at least nokia should make one via an update.
i've just bought some new sennheiser cx 300ii earphones to replace the standard nokia ones but with the lack of an eq on the device, some songs sound a bit hissy like when there's and 'S' in the song. don't want my purchase to be a waste |
Re: Which earphones are you guys using?

Re: Which earphones are you guys using?
I originally bought the Motorola S9-HD bluetooth stereo headphones after reading someone's recommendation earlier in the thread. Big mistake. Because it's an around the back of the head style and the antenna is actually back behind your head, you cannot be outside and have your device in front of you - either in your hand, your pants pocket... not even your shirt pocket - because the sound chops up so badly to the point of being completely unusable. As someone that's on the go a lot, it hurt bringing them back because the sound quality was excellent.
I decided to go with the Sony DR-BT101 bluetooth headphones and I don't have any problems with dropouts whatsoever anymore. Also, not needing to push things inside my ears is a major plus. |

Previously I had problems with it skipping too many tracks but it seems ok. The volume controls were working as well finally. I haven't had any calls to answer while using them though. There was one problem where the audio quality was awful, but it is some kind of bad connection. I disconnected and reconnected in the "control panel" for bluetooth and it was fine. There are the typical audio dropouts that seem to be common with stereo bluetooth headsets with the N900 though :( |
Re: Which earphones are you guys using?
My rule of thumb: never use the headphones or earphones that come with anything. Get them separately.

Re: Which earphones are you guys using?
Koss KSC 75, perfect sound, also nice for pople who have problems wearing those mini earphones for hours (like me). Plus they have a lifetime warranty. Alls this for ~20 bucks.
One of the best i've ever had for portable devices |
