I had buy N900 for few days. Luckily I had succeed installed both Mplayer+ SIB. May I ask a stupid question that: 1./ What is advantage when we launch mplayer via sib with specific parameters. 2./ How to do this? 3./ Can I play subtitle with separately file .srt? Thanks Yin |
Re: SiB - mplayer gui frontend
Is there somebody help me to play Subtitle:confused:
Thanks in advance Yin |
Re: SiB - mplayer gui frontend
I just have a problem using sib player. When ever i am forwarding or reversing the movie the voice and the video is not symetric. The video is coming before and the voice is coming with some delay.

See the application description. I can't recall what buttons you use. |

2. You can do it from xterminal by using the mplayer via CLI. But not from SiB gui. 3. I believe so. Haven't tried it myself. I know smi files work however. So if all fails, just use a converter to convert srt to smi. |
Re: SiB - mplayer gui frontend
Is plastik still working on this? I'm looking for a new version linked against the PR1.2 QT libraries, as I'd like to get the libqt4-maemo5 libraries off my N900 (and they'll be disappearing from the repositories soon).

Re: SiB - mplayer gui frontend
SiB 0.0.5-2 now depends on the PR1.2 Qt libs and is available from the extras-testing repository.

Re: SiB - mplayer gui frontend
Plans, yes but not sure when I'm going to work on it :p
Besides of being lazy there are also reasons for not extending the program. I thought about creating an extended settings page to control the mplayer settings (by writing the ~/.mplayer/config file) but I'm not sure if that's really necessary. I believe the default mplayer settings are just right and only few users do really need to modify them. And they do get excellent support in this forum :). Did I mention that SiB stands for simplicity is beautiful? :p |
