Hi colinbaillie! Did you read my answear to DaSilva on the same page 7? The language you can use in Mappero, depends on the language you have in your N900. And you can't change it in the program. From root you can put in language files, like Mardy (the developer) explains to Nikem 2 posts higher up. I don't know which languages are supported in Mappero beta 9. That is a guestion that Mardy knows the answear to. You should at least have the interlingua voice. I just updated Mappero my self and haven't tried it yet. So at the moment i don't know if it works as it should.

Here is the new file in Finnish as promised. This time I used 7-zip to compress the file.

Hi.

I, like others, can't get the voice navigation to work. I've looked at the instructions and followed the links, but there's no clear guide as to exactly what needs to be done to get it to work anywhere. All the advice people gives seems to point to other people asking for advice and then being unable to get it to work still.

My language is en_GB, and I've created that directory in the relevant place, and copied the en_US files into it. I've also copied the en_US files over the interlingua files.
I've also checked that announcements are turned on. Still nothing though. Not a peep. Is there another package that needs to be installed or some tweak that needs to be tweaked to get this working?

Hi there!
With beta 7 or 8 (don't remember) I had the interlingua since my locale is fi and such files didn't exist on it. I did no tweaks to get it to work exept turning the voice on. If you have beta 9, it's possible that there is something wrong with it. From Mardys blog I read that quite alot has changed under the hood. As I said earlier I haven't yet tested it my self. Stefan.

Hi Steffe69. Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately it's beta 8, so I'm a bit stumped. :/

I tried the latest beta 9 and the voice navigation worked fine in finnish. It was a short trip, just a right and left turn tough.

Someone please spell out the name of the N900 application to use for voice recording? I see 'Recorder' and 'Speech record and playback' available on my N900. Which one of these would work or is there something else I should be using? Thanks in advance for the details.
