maybe you think about making the app fullscreen with a small exit button "X"

Great idea! I'll see what I do! *Added to my To Do list*

you should integrate the use of the accelerometer into this app so when you move the device about it fluctuates the sound of the horn hehe similar to the iphone style.

Not a big fan of accelerometers to be honest but you check out some other Vuvuzela apps than use them.

But if I do find a way to set up options, I might take a shot at it.

yeah we could still keep the start/stop button or create a seperate button for that function :)

Your wish is my command! Check out version 0.3-5!

Just uploaded version 0.5-1. You should be able to get it now.

Changes:

- Due to popular demand, I decided to reintegrate both the "Start" & "Stop" button, but in smaller forms in order to get that multi-Vuvuzela sound.
--> Either use the "Start/Stop" button or the other 2, using both at the same time will only cause chaos!

- Thanks to pantera1989, we now have bigger Vuvuzela images. Still Same 6 colours.

To Do:

-Add version number to title bar untill I sort out an "about" page
-Find a way to set up a "settings" dialog
-Look into Portrait mode

As usual, requests, suggestions & feedback are more than welcome

can you make so when you release the button the sound stops?

it gives us the opportunity to make melodies :)

This will be fun on Friday...

There is a missing dependency issue in the package. The application requires python2.5-qt4-core and python2.5-qt4-gui but these aren't marked as dependencies. Prevented the application from launching for me the first time I tried it.

I thought these were a given with PR1.2 ?
If not, do I just add these to the py2deb dependencies before building?

Anyway, i'll pop 0.3-6 in a bit and see if it sorts out these problems.

Let me know!

The new version 0.3-6 is now out!

Changes:

- This *should* fix any dependencies issues some people might have.

- FINALLY found a way to get an icon for the application in the App Manager. Makes it looks better/more professional, especially when I try to get this app into Extras.

- Added the version number to the Titlebar. Hopefully this makes it ALOT easier to know what version you are on. I still need to find a way to make a menubar....

To Do

-Find a way to set up a "settings" dialog
-Look into Portrait mode
-Look into a full-screen option

As usual, requests, suggestions & feedback are more than welcome :)

I guess not then. Maybe Qt itself is included but not the python bindings. But just guessing here...

I don't know about py2deb unfortunately...

...but I guess you got it figured out since the dependencies seem to be OK in this new version.

Anyway, it was fun to play some vuvuzela during the games yesterday - at least for a while - until people got annoyed :D

Have an option to select black background once another color is picked please! Also when a different color is picked, the icons have this nasty black edge problem where the curves are in the border edges... dunno if this is a maemo/hildon thing or a bug in the program.

Re: [Annouce] (Now in Extras-devel) Vuvuzela - for all you WorldCup/sporting needs!

El Amir thanks for this wonderful app. Now the World Cup is over and I guess I won't be using it anymore lol.

Still it was fun playing the Vuvuzela during matches. It annoyed a lot of people, but my N900 wouldn't listen and kept playing.

Anyway thank you. I will still keep it installed..and maybe still use it while waiting in a bank or something.
