Fitch just downgraded Nokia's credit rating by 2 notches, just one notch above "junk". I doubt this is good for Nokia shares. http://blogs.forbes.com/greatspecula...rtner=yahootix |
Re: Nokia shares dive after sales warning
Yeah whatever, rating companies have always been sensible to this kinds of stuff. But let's all remember how high ENRON's rating was in 2001 and still it was one of the biggest frauds of all time. And how Detroit's Big 3 ratings were still high when they went into bankruptcy when the economic crisis began.
So, what I'm trying to say is that, Nokia, a company which is undoubtedly in some kind of trouble at the moment, is not is THAT much trouble how some people would like it to be. They're having problems, it's normal in in the business world to have not-that-great periods. Apple has had them in the 90's. They're successful now. What's to happen 5 years from now? Let's not dramatize things. |
Re: Nokia shares dive after sales warning
Here is the solution!
RIM is hurting, stock price falling, no new exciting products. Shareholders and Analysts call for a new CEO! http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Why-Re....html?x=0&.v=1 How about giving Elop to RIM? Elop is a well experienced manager, managed the world largest cell phone maker and has proven to make gutsy decisions. Exactly the man RIM needs now! I think Elop's switch would be really good for the share price. I just don't know for which, NOK, RIMM, MSFT, AAPL or GOOG? |

Why they have been able to stay afloat and grow this long is the real mystery, not that they are finally going down to a size that fits the niche market they are serving. |

If anything, this only proves that Elop is right, a major overhaul is needed, a new start with a portfolio made for the future. |
