I disagree. the important thing is not the size of the button, but by how much you can misclick without toutching the wrong button.
now compare the distance "middle of button" - "border of other button" on the two designs, and you can see that with smaller buttons they actually need less precision (it doesn't matter if you push two or three time the inactive zone, as long as you end up clicking the good one).

Note that a vertical design with more space between the buttons would do as well.

What was the situation with Maemo5x? I can't recall.
Was the public tracker closed round about now?
Was there even a public tracker like we've had for Maemo6x?

I really don't like that SanttuAhonen Guy. Always bringer of bad news! Really announg if they taking the next step in the close down so we can't track the defects at all.

There is a public bug tracker at https://bugs.maemo.org/. It's still open for community software and the website, but not for Nokia software. I'm not sure when it was closed for Nokia software.
