Thinking up ways the remaining Maemo devices could be used by their collective users to bring a firestorm down on elop/nokia's board/redmond...? Might be a true elopaclypse.
Re: a meet-up as an opportunity either to vent or just have a couple of pints, admire devices and configurations - haven't seen anything so far...

not hiccups per se, rather oddities...
  • --- can only be applied with NOKIA Suite ==> need a LostDOS (aka windoooooz) PC :mad:
    Anna could be applied over the air
  • -- the 1st impression was that NOKIA has not only a m$ mole at its helm but has also completely taken over the m$ disregard for users... during the 1st couple of starts after the update / flashing, the system behaves as if it knew better then the user what the user wants :mad:
  • - (not sure about that one, but) think the Anna update (over the air) is required prior to Belle
  • - all apps installed prior to the upgrade have to be installed anew :(
    odd considering that the packages seem to be the same
  • +++ multitasking :D
    can install apps from OVI while exploring the features of the OS :)
    but this is already true for Anna (don't know about ^3 as i never used that)
  • Symbian "functionality"
    many criticize Symbian for being outdated and knows gawd what more, but honestly... it is still a model of functionality

been installing apps (from OVI store) since yesterday & so far... excellent.

as an afterthought... Flop really ruined NOKIA's chance to make a long awaited return, not only with its usual outstanding hardware but also with a hugely (imo) improved Symbian :'(
that doesn't mean that i will drop my N900 for it, but for an occasional use, anytime!
