I had to manually upgrade
  • gecko-engine
  • mozembed-library
  • embedlite-components
  • sailfish-browser-settings

then reboot and it finally works.

It looks pretty awesome, but I already have a first bug to report:
  1. Click the URL
  2. Tap and hold on a bookmark until the context menu appears
  3. Raise the finger (without selecting)
  4. Now try to select 'Open in tab' or 'Share'.

The forward button is hidden in the 'more-options-view'. You can access it using the button on the far right.

Thank you coderus for the nightly binaries. Installation works for me only this way:

Download all packages from openrepos.net.

Code:

cd to-the-folder-there-packages-reside

pkcon install-local xulrunner-qt5-31.3.0.3-10.10.1.jolla_.armv7hl.rpm embedlite-components-qt5-1.8.3-10.3.6.jolla_.armv7hl.rpm qtmozembed-qt5-1.12.7-10.6.5.jolla_.armv7hl.rpm sailfish-browser-settings-1.2.1-1.armv7hl.rpm sailfish-browser-1.2.1-2.armv7hl.rpm

After reboot the nigtly browser starts fine.

Add dependencies to sailfish-browser-1.2 build would help that issue

Re: [Announce] Sailfish Browser is now Open Source!

The new browser works for me when I launch it from the terminal, but from the launcher icon it fails. If I copy the invoker line to the terminal, it dies with a segfault. I tried changing the --type=browser argument to --type=silica-qt5 and it works. Anyone else getting this behaviour?

I also cannot open links from other applications, could this be the same problem? Where is the url handler launch defined?
