Does this mean that FP2 will have the Android compt. layer?

They've also said they'll bring it to existing FP2 owners here:

@Fairphone I already own a FP2 but I'm still voting yes for Sailfish support with alien dalvik.

Fairphone @Fairphone
@veps2i we will make it available to existing FP2 owners as well

I don't know if like the last time (when Abranson asked IIRC) the Community rep has jumped the gun in saying this.

Our customers are over there and it would be plain commercial suicide to not be available on those channels.
And the incentive to use other services or even come up with own implemetations even for small things like polls is nullified by the "It just works" theorem...

It would work on official web page also. For me, commercial suicide is an outdated web without any relevant info. I'm not liking anyone and I don't follow anyone. Just saying.......

I think something is on the way (based on a conversation on IRC). I think a new release is undergoing the last stages of testing but can't be released yet because it's based based on a pre-release SFOS, and nobody is allowed to distribute it yet. That was about a week ago though so it might be available now.

Either way, it's going to be a re-flash job rather than upgrade.

Everyone on IRC is very friendly, might be worth asking on there yourself?

Lets hope Jolla release the damn 2.0.2.xx in the next days, so the next FP2 image could be released.

Atm. i have 2.0.2.45 on my Jolla Phone and Jolla Tablet. After 2.0.2.45 the FP2 Image based on 2.0.0.10 looks a bit old....

Hello guys!

Can somebody post the content of your /etc/ssu/ssu.ini on the FP2?

I have a repostistory called "aliendalvik"
It shouldn't be there i think?
Its always asking for my Jolla store credentials on this repo....

Thank you very much,
no idea how it comes to my ssu.ini
Maybe after playing with
Code:

ssu re 2.x.x.xx

the instructions for flashing 2.0.1 boot image are the same.
i can give you a link, but don't know if mal will approve o_O it is his repo
Also mal told me on the irq that OTA updates are not working atm. So reflashing is the only option right now

Thank you for the alpha2 link, virgi26!

It works very stable when flashed on top of latest FP2 Android (1.3.6)
