Re: Did your N900 ship today continued
I wont accept one more push. i preordered 29. August, nokia.de said, 1st then 12th, and then 30st october. i cant believe that the date should move to 14th november. My patience has an end and slowly I lose all fun about this phone.
I sold my HTC Hero end of august, ESPECIALLY to preorder this phone... |
Re: Did your N900 ship today continued
Yeah I wish I would have waited until now to sell my G1. I did it because the rep sounded so confident and said it would ship no later than two weeks in to October. So much for that. I tried to use that against NokiaUSA to get a loaner but to no avail.
|
Re: Did your N900 ship today continued
But nokia.de and nokiausa.com are still saying end of october or 30st. I dont know how many preordered before me, but id guess there were 2 or 3 preorders before me, who would ever preorder two days after it was announced???

Re: Did your N900 ship today continued
I also sold my G1... and now running arround with an old QTEK 9000... always crashing... this is not fair at least ^^

Re: Did your N900 ship today continued
One thing you may want to watch out for if you decide to go with Newegg is that their free shipping is now DHL + Post Office. Which means you'll get a tracking # from DHL when DHL is handling the package, but when they hand it over to the post office (if you are not near a DHL area) you have no tracking info for the post office!
Amazon's free shipping I think is UPS (tracking # included) |
Re: Did your N900 ship today continued
Yes i feel really pwnd and made the following decision. i wont watch any youtube video about the n900 anymore, i will unsubscribe this thread, i will not visit this forum anymore. the only thing what i will do is to check the order status on the official nokia.de site, and nothing else... no twittering about any meetup or maemo development or anything.
i dont want to see any more person who is using and showing the n900. im really depressed about this and wont be happy until i finally get my long awaited mobile internet computer with phone capabilities... |
Re: Did your N900 ship today continued
Only 3
weeks to go |
Re: Did your N900 ship today continued
I called and told the guy from Nokia USA I noticed the N900 would be released by the end of oct. on the website. He went on to say the website is incorrect and it was moved to mid nov.
THIS BLOWS |
Re: Did your N900 ship today continued

Re: Did your N900 ship today continued
Hello,
I have been following this thread ever since the first one started, never joined though because I thought phone would be out, but this helps with the wait I guess. Anyway, I called BLT just now about the stock of the N900; http://www.shopblt.com/cgi-bin/shop/...er_id=!ORDERID He was very nice. I asked him about the Pre-Orders, and he explained EVERYTHING without another question being asked, so pretty smooth phone call I might say. Anyway, I live in PA, so I ordered from here considering it should be arriving to the warehouses soon. But after the call he specifically said that NOKIA has been very bad with their ETA dates, even with the N97 and other previous models, so the ETA dates stated are not GUARENTEED arrival until they get and e-mail saying it was shipped, he didn't recieve an e-mail yet, but he said it looks bleak for it to arrive tomorrow without a confirmation e-mail, so most likely, dates will be pushed back. He stated that it doesn't matter where you order from, they will most likely ship from the closest warehouse to you, that has them in-stock. (In my case; Pennsylvania.) I ordered from them because they are the only company that has really been reliable with the ETA's. They haven't lied about anything really, but it's Nokia that changes the shipping dates so they have to update them from time to time. He gave no word on the release date, he said if not this week, they push to next week, if not next week, they push... and on and on. Anyway, I hope this cleared somethings up. The warehouses aren't 100% Amazon, and looking through their vendors, Amazon isn't one of them, so hope for that are pretty much destroyed. Before the ETA's were earlier, but they never recieved any IN-STOCK, the keep pushing back date (Nokia.) Hope this cleared some things up for people. |

Re: Did your N900 ship today continued
Had patience... But if the date really has been pushed again, I'm going to be disappointed.
Not saying I will cancel my order or anything cos the truth is that I still want it, but it's just sad that they can't stick to the dates. Makes you wonder what's going on. Good luck to all. I'm out of this forum till it ships. edit: oh yeah, I was at the nokia n900 meetup today, didn't ask about shipping, just mostly about the phone itself and how was the development approached. Also, they had a prize draw for everyone that attended and there's was a n900 for the draw. I think someones name was drawn first but he/she was not there so the phone(when it is released) went to the next person. |
Re: Did your N900 ship today continued

I think Newegg is starting to use UPS now. Just ordered two things from them on Monday and instead of DHL they're using UPS as standard shipping. |

Yep - just got off the phone with Nokia. Definitely pushed back to Mid November. This **** does not fill me with confidence when yesterday everything was on track and today all of a sudden its not.
Canceled my n900 order with Nokia. Will reorder MAYBE from Newegg. |

BLT - Bottom Line Telecommunications It's not ONE company, they are a MAJOR warehouse/retailer and they ship out everything to their vendors and other warehouses. I have ordered stuff from Clove Technologies, and they are one of the many vendors of BLT, and service was great. So I doubt BLT is a bad company as they have many well-connected and respected vendors. I'm not saying the dates listed now are EXACT, but if you read my post, I specifically said that they told me Nokia pushes it back, Nokia has been bad on the ETA's and that they have no control when order arrives, so they stick with Nokias ETA's that Nokia gives them. |
Re: Did your N900 ship today continued
Now i really need to change my phone so I'll keep my pre-order but it's the last time i ever pre-order anything! :P

I recommend pre-ordering... just not from Nokia. Thats what I say :( Nokia is really bad with their Dates, and the only people I trust are the UPS/FedEx/USPS/DHL guys that actually DELIVER my package. |
Re: Did your N900 ship today continued
Well, I was semi-outraged when the other thread was cancelled, but I've just read this thread, and geeze, what a bunch of chatter! It made me wonder if there should be a "monitored" chat about this, with everything approved by a moderator, and another, totally free topic area.
You know, as they do with porn sites! |

On the other hand, I just noticed 31 members AND 41 GUESTS are reading this thread! Maybe this is where the people are, you know, the ones we want to buy the N900?

Well, I don't know anything about porn sites, but since you ask -- many of them are plagued with repeats of the same stuff over and over, so they have some "moderated" sites where the moderator eliminates the fluff and you just get the hardcore uh, information!

Re: Did your N900 ship today continued
Canceled Nokia USA - ordered from newegg.
Can trust them and if the damn thing isnt going to ship until Mid Nov I might as well just wait for them. Saved 150 bucks in the process and thats WITH 1 day express Fedex (UPS blow) |
Re: Did your N900 ship today continued
about BLT, does there shipping dates rely similiar to other vendors shipping dates or is it strictly BLT?

If you'd all listened to my advice hundreds of posts ago and set the date as November you wouldn't be annoyed now!
Once you get used to Nokia's release schedule you learn to enter a zen like state of relaxation. For the true master not having the N900 is the same as having the N900 :D |
