just checked the links where the data exists and they seem to be down at the moment.

I can see they have started hosting data now in multiple hosts , looks like bandwidth issues.
So either this gets sorted out on its own soon or I might have to the alternate links to showtime.

will try my best to update and release if there is a need to add more sources.

This has been working fine up untill the last few months. ITV1 went down first ages ago but now I can't get any channel information. Is there a problem or is at my end, maybe I installed something that showtime doesn't like.

the sources seem to be down, if this is a permanent thing maybe I'll need to find alternate links, let me try and think of something in the meanwhile....sorry there isn't much I can do immediately as in right now.

Hi. Any news on this program? I'm having to use the guide on my nexus s and it's just no where near as good. It would be great to have it working along side pierogi.

No worries if it's a no go. It was good while it lasted but it's the best tv guide out there.

just been out of time. I will try to set up my dev environment again and fix this , many things had changed since I last did any dev on Maemo.
promise to take a look or help somebody do on my behalf.
I was thinking of porting this to android recently , hasnt kicked off yet since I was not sure of its usability there .

N9 is not based on symbian, it is MeeGo, however it uses Qt like symbian.

download the updated package from here

then install it using the following command ( make sure you backup the entire app /opt/showtime somewhere before doing this just in case something goes wrong )

dpkg -i <path to this deb file on your phone>

let me know how this works for you. thanks.
any questions feel free to get in touch.

if it works , i'll upload this to the repository. I don't have a device myself to test this works or not.

No joy I'm afraid. Iinstalled with appman and xterm with purge and reboot inbetween. both times it installed but both times didn't open and didn't move on from the icon press.

What would I input to find the error? Also if someone else could confirm this it would be a help

run it from the terminal and send me the output.
/opt/showtime/bin/showtime i think thats where you will find the executable.

This is what I get after inputing that command

The newest version is not installed in /opt/showtime but in /usr/showtime and takes 3mb from my rootfs.

The desktop icon does not work because of this.

If i am starting showtime from the terminal, then showtime startes but i cant see any icons. I cant chose my region and the sender list is emtpy.

just released 1.2-8 see if that fixes.
Appreciate you guys testing this for me, I dont have this device anymore so not able to test anything.

Get in!! It works. Thanks a lot for getting my favourite tv guide working again.

ITV 1 is still not working but hey. There's sod all worth watching on it anyway.

Best of luck with the android port and I'll be happy to test that aswell.

sure I can add this, but I will need one xmltv file, can you point me to the one that has all the channel info in it, seems like this site has 1 xmltv per channel and sorted by provider. If you don't know about it I can try and take a look at it.

I just managed to check this link out, will see if this can be added too, as long as there is a direct link I can add this to the application, I didnt make this user configurable when I started off so unfortunately have to live with these application changes for each additional source.

Thanks for making this app work again. I had almost bought a new fone for this but then reasoned i could use tvguide on my tablet since I don't watch tv anywhere but at home, so it doesn't have to run on a phone.
But very glad to have it back.

The German list has some channels that are dead and gone, but misses their replacement channels. Can that be fixed?

I noticed that the time on the listings is an hour behind gmt. I think this happened before but you sorted it. Sorry I didn't mention it earlier.

didnt check all channels but had a quick look at the channel info xmltv files for a programme i watched yesterday here in the UK (14-March) and it seemed ok to me.

crime and investigation - the real hustle ( 8pm and 8.30pm start times )

perhaps for some channels you saw, the time offset was wrong in the data source files, give me an example and i can confirm it.

can you provide a few examples, all i can think of is its probably missing or renamed in the datasource xmltv files.

well, I select my region (italy), pick a channel (tried several ones) and click "go". then it stucks on 0% and after some time stops with no data downloaded for that channel and the red message "Have you clicked go already...." displayed.

Wetter Fernsehen is gone w/o replacement

ZDF digital channels are missing. they are public channels like BBC4 or BBC Entertainment in the UK. They are
